Just rewatched this on Tubi after not having watched it for ages. She was so wonderful in it... Just so loveable and funny. It is such a bizarre and slightly disturbing but also hilarious. But yeah, she's wonderful. Very lucid and lively

I saw an interview Heather did on Letterman (on YT) to promote WTTDH. She was so poised and enthusiastic about acting. Very delightful. I admire her talent. Everything I've ever seen her in, she is superb. For WTTDH, though, that film makes me laugh, but breaks my heart. It hits me in my soul. Heather was phenomenal.

I was in middle school when this movie came out and I've never seen any movie or TV show portray what it was like more accurately, especially the part where Dawn is calling her friend Ralphie a f***ot over the phone and he hears it, that literally happened to me. This movie was like a documentary of my life during middle school

Thank you for this! She seems like a super thoughtful person, as one might expect from her work. I'm curious to hear more about how she approached and experienced the heavy, painful yet subtly humorous subject matter of WttDH, kind of living out through this character the frightening, baffling tumult of adolescence. It's a role kind of packed with complexity yet I guess, as she says, as simple as it is difficult. To pull up those emotions. I'm curious what her growing up was like, what her parents are like etc. Part of me dearly wishes I'd fallen into an art at a young age. But that's another story. Ha. Anyway, I assume she's talked about her work in the film at length elsewhere in the past. I'll just have to dig. It's one of those provocative, sort of captivating independent films that left an impression on me in formative times. (I guess those times never end really.)
