I pay attention to everything I see on a daily basis. It's possible to train yourself to keep a diary. Since November I've been seeing several people around me falling in love around me and are friends and new acquaintances and even my neighbor in his front yard making out with his new gf. I'm witnessing all kinds of positive experiences around me when out and about. Especially beautiful things since 1/1/2025. I feel it's a sign of this coming year. There are some Astrologer's saying 2025 to 2030 is going to be a huge shift. Looking forward to it.❤

Absolutely, if you have a natal chart connection to Pluto when it goes out of bounds, I would expect some very significant developments when Pluto is out of bounds. I'm glad to hear you enjoyed this and all of the research Rosie has put together, including how she connected it all to Persephone. The Persephone connection really brings it alive.

Very interesting conversation. There has been a lot of writing on OOB planets and declination but she’s identifying specific phases to how the archetype manifests. So, with reference to the phases, which seem associated with the diurnal solar pattern, does Rosie Finn think that the phases (Vision/ASC, Power/MC, Justice/DSC and Reform/IC - my “interpretation”) can be applied to the other planets, or do individual planets resonate differently more with the North, South, or other two phases?

Interesting question - I'm not sure if Rosie would apply these specific phases to other planets due to this being so connected with her historical research and Pluto. I do like to think about the differences in meaning between north and south declination in general, though, and Rosie's research is certainly food for thought.

Thanks Gray. Loving the series and it’s so cool to interview your first teacher! The reason I asked the question is because my dive into OOB planets has never really yielded any really clear correlations with North or South declination during the OOB period. (I have a retrograde Mars OOB in the North and direct Mercury OOB in the South both near my MC/IC axis - which leads me to ask lots of interesting questions though 😊) For the most part, as you are likely well aware, North declinations are generally viewed as being more “positive” and South more “negative” which I have never really understood. Maybe it has to do with the Northern hemisphere astrologers I read. 😅 In light of that, I found the Reform and Power phases description she makes to be rather enlightening, especially since she did a lot of research. I thought maybe it has to do with the seeing the archetype manifest (and hence Power being northerly would be more “obvious than the southerly Reform period). BUT again, North is only “up” /“visible” in the Northern hemisphere…

@@melchizedek6279 I've heard an interpretation of southern being more "unconscious" in a way, also more karmic. The book on declination I have is by Paul Newman you've maybe read that. I don't agree with the "good" or "bad" interpretation but you're right that north tends to be positive and south negative. I heard an interesting idea before about ancient Mesopotamia and civilizations being more vulnerable from the south to attack and that theorized as a reason. What I find interesting about that is based on Rosie's research one of those court astrologers of an empire, which is the source of a lot of traditional text we have, probably would say north is good and south is bad - since she has found north is good for the empire being more oppressive and powerful and south being the breakup of the empire or reforms. I think from a cyclic model it does make sense with the reform due to the planet having swung all the way around to the bottom to come back up again - I think there's a similarity to the Moon at her southern bending or any planet at the southern bending. But Rosie's work is definitely focused on Pluto so I think if this is a model that could be relevant to other planets it needs to be connected to that. With planetary nodes certainly Pluto and Saturn coming down on their own southern nodes in 2020 was difficult in the collective. It does seem like Moon at her south node or any planet at its own south node, and how that makes you look back at everything that has cycled through to come back down again, the southern bending point in declination would have something much further along that is now going to be on the ascent, and so I do think this "reform" idea could be applied in other ways to other planets.

@ Hey Gray, thanks for the response. Here’s something to think about and observe right now related to effects of declination and the LA fires: The Moon and Mars are currently both OOB in the EXTREME North and will be partile in Tropical Cancer at approximately 5:50 PM Pacific Time. The Sabian symbol (Rudhyar) for 27 Cancer (Tropical) is: “PHASE 117 (CANCER 27°): A VIOLENT STORM IN A CANYON FILLED WITH EXPENSIVE HOMES. KEYNOTE: A confrontation with a social upheaval demanding the reconsideration of static values. The deeper implications of the scene depicted in the symbol are that the socio-cultural elite can always see its position and security challenged by forces beyond its control, even if it may be successful in protecting itself from destruction. The individual may not be able to depend on the standards and values he has acquired through education and through a relatively sheltered and rich life. He has to rise to the occasion, and perhaps to undergo an inner metamorphosis as a result of the crisis he has been able to accept as a personal challenge. The contrast between the two first phases of this twenty-fourth sequence is evident: peace in luxury and intellectual development in terms of collective cultural values (reading books), then the challenge to meet a crisis situation produced by uncontrollable karmic forces that could lead to a successful CATHARSIS. “ So let’s see if the fires get worse (seems ominous given rulership of OOB Moon despite both bodies being in water sign). It’s already destroyed many expensive homes as you may know but it heads toward Beverly Hills and Bel Air now. You could argue extreme OOB is more weighty than N vs S OOB. I don’t have any S OOB examples at this point however.
