Bought her Oyster album when it came and saw her live in Montreal shortly after that, maybe 1994. Always been a fan. This song, Sugar, is an awsome tune. Heather nails it.

Love the end... drop the e string... and doppler-like feedback! Heather always has a top-shelf band.

This song takes me back to 1994. Emotional shit going on, I got this song on a BMG music service demo CD...and one of the best random finds I ever had because of this song alone

That's how I found the song--on a random sampler, but it was a live version. It also had a song called X-French T-Shirt by Shudder to Think that was also great.

I wish Heather would write about how/where she was that inspired this song.

And when you got me pregnant I stopped the party And I stopped the typewriter And I stopped your dumb ball game in the red barn And I stopped your father and bled instead And I felt the lie Aah, something sticky on the inside A bitter wind in my throat Oh, stopping me wanting In my stomach In my head And you said Sugar, sugar, you couldn't come come Sugar, sugar, without your mother mother Sugar, sugar, you couldn't taste it Sugar, sugar, in my throat

Nova has become a little bit sentimental these days. Not enough of this manic, drawn out electro madness.
