But sadly, if you live in it all your life, it’s not that interesting. I grew up super super poor, but have worked hard enough now with my husband to have a created a beautiful home for our kids. We have a 12 seat theater, a loft room with a swing for the kids playroom, a parlor room with a stage and band/pool table/lounge, a private apt and you know what? The kids think our house is so boring and they would rather spend every hour at their friends’ homes. Our college age kid refuses to live in the free apt because she wants to be on her own. #YouWantWhatYouDontHave

You know what was great about this whole series is even though Heather wasn't the "designer", she speaks on the house so eloquently. She knows the materials, styles and gives rightful credit. Any other KZbinr when they show their homes (should have hired a designer, it's not a talent everyone has) and describes the space with the same monotonous vocabulary. A lot of "likes" "favorite" "love" tends to be the most overused in those videos. So, thank you, Heather, for giving us quality content!

Both Heather and Terry seem extremely family oriented. In fact out of all the "couples" on the house wife franchise they are still together and their children seem quite grounded. I don't get a feeling of excess even though this is in reality a mansion worth millions maybe billions .......I am lost at the concept. I adore the light airy look. Something so very fresh and cool. Love it also love Heather's presentation.

Beautiful exterior, fixtures and furniture, but add some color with botanicals and some rich landscaping. You can do this while still retaining the modern/contemporary approach. You may be adding this later, obviously, but I’m just envisioning this beautiful tour with some gorgeous flowers and greenery. Just a thought, Heather. Jonathan Thomas what’s beautiful to one person isn’t to another. They have designed THEIR HOME how THEY like it. She likes a modern, minimalist look. That’s HER choice. If she wanted “color and botanicals” she would have designed and decorated that way. She knows exactly what SHE LIKES, and when you build your dream house, you can design it exactly how YOU like it.

I love the bucket of ice. I also love my own Wal-Mart grill on my back yard patio. The city park pool is a mile away from my house if the kids want to go swimming. I let the lifeguards keep an eye on them while I enjoy a candy bar and coke from the snack bar. So easy and I see all my neighbors there if I want some adult conversation. Perfect!!
