I received and ordered an Erin Condren Academic Planner before I knew about the Plum Paper Planner. Needless to say, I placed an order for the Plum Paper Planner College Student 3 layout. I think for college students taking 17+ credit hours, it is extremely customizable, I even put each subject of my 6 courses in as well as two assignment tracker pages per month, rather than the multiple dashboards I had to order to make my Erin Condren Planner more functional. The Plum Paper Planner also comes with stickers and a folder on the back cover which is helpful for quick storage. Ultimately I've decided to use the Erin Condren Planner as more of personal goals and to-do list and the Plum Paper Planner as my true academic planner for the school year. Hopefully, this helps someone trying to make a decision.

I can't seem to find the third layout, it gives me two layouts of the first somewhat and the horizontal one, whereas the third she showed seems perfect T_T

As a college student, I use the teacher planner for my classes so I have more space for lists and room for work

Planners have come so far since I was a student! My mom would get me one of the Mead ones as part of back to school, and I might get an agenda from school as well, but they were never as fun or user-friendly as these options. It's something I kind of wish we could subsidize at the school level, so instead of getting the little ones, students could have something nice to plan in, and we could talk about different ways of keeping track of tasks and goals and such. I use a Happy Planner as a teacher, but not a teacher planner (I like having the weekend space as extra boxes for specific tasks/duties). A few of my colleagues use EC and PP, and on the rare occasions we all have our notes out at the same time, we squee over each other's planners and share ideas. How cool would it be to have the students do the same thing!

Lots of different options with them all, but Happy Planner still wins hands down!

Thank you so soooo much. I have been looking for a vertical student planner option. I don’t know why but most companies think just because your a student you must opt for a horizontal planner. Well some us student prefer to see it vertically. Your a life saver.

I am a junior in college and LOVING my student happy planner - it’s so customizable and I enjoy decorating it (which also makes me use it more) and popping in things specific for that week - love!!!!

I prefer the happy planner but It does leave a lot to be desired when compared to other planners. I'm going to look for some free printables with the daily schedule by semester and the pages with the projects and exams. It is nice that you can add these it's just a shame they don't come with them. Happy planner should try asking students and teachers what they want in a planner before they make them. Until then thankfully there are lots of people making inserts for free or on etsy.

Just some info... I want to share with you that you can share with other... I am a happy planner, now for about 3 years ( always classic) Last year when the notebook came out i luv'd it and with that idea i took it further... I bought a big happy planner and made that has my school planner and binder... With the big I can punch holes and keep all my work together.... My pre plan is in each month page of the big planner... I have paper in there for notes... From my old classic planner I took the months that I love and renamed them for each chapter.... So even though it's a little short, i really just need the tab to mark the chapters... I bought the larger rings and everything I need for school i added it on there... I luv it... It works for me to be my student planner

Great video! My boys have been using the Plum Paper student planners for the past several years and love them! We actually just ordered their new ones yesterday! However, the names you gave them are not what PP calls them on their website. The small one with the individual classes is considered the "Custom Class Student", the second one is the "Horizontal Student" and the third is the "Vertical Student". I just wanted to point this out in case someone was interested in buying them.

I'm starting my third semester of law school next week and struggled initially with finding a good planning solution for my unique needs. The school handed out pre-printed spiral-bound planners last fall with a nice layout...and crappy paper that ghosts badly with every stroke of a gel pen or highlighter. ARGH. Most other planners I've found have been too geared towards K-12 or undergrad, not suitable for my needs as a 45 year old mom in law school, which has a different routine. I felt like Goldilocks. Nothing was *just right.* So after much tweaking, I have wound up using a Big Happy Planner with a vertical weekly, plus making my own custom inserts for things like a reading list for each class, laminated copy of my schedule, etc. (SO MUCH reading in law school...OMG.) The hole punch and laminator I bought are invaluable. I'm finding the HP very versatile and I really like the ability to add, remove, and rearrange pages as needed.

No elementary student needs an expensive ec. What sucks is that these are also tailored to Middle school. As a soon to be college student, I cant find a planner that suites student AND adult life. A huge shame :(

Emi the plum paper could. You can add on many sections based on your life (home, budget, gratitude) and add the academics section to any of their other layouts

You commented on the planners being more for high school and middle school than for elementary school. Actually, I think they're more for high school and college than elementary or middle school. Plus, what elementary school student needs a planner????? Or were you thinking the parents of elementary school kids? If I were the parent of a young student and needed to keep track of school events I would probably go for the teacher planner instead.
