Can you tell me your secret on how in the world you have so much control in your voice?! I love to sing, but your combination of power and control with absolutely strain (especially on such high notes at points) astounds me because I can never manage it!!! How??

Sophia Redwood ohh that’s a hard question. I’ve had about three years of vocal training from an amazing vocal coach to get the control I have right now. I’d say the main things to focus on is proper breathing, “mouth grip,” and placement of the notes. Finding the balance between them all and and knowing how to finesse them into different vowel shapes and notes is where the control starts to come in. Placement generally means where your placing your air inside your head. (Sorry if that makes no sense it’s kind of a visual way of saying it) Overall, I’d say a good vocal coach is a great way to start! Thank you for the support! There’s a vocal coach I really want (sister of a friend’s friend, so I have connections) so I’m trying to see if she still teaches and if she’d be willing to teach me. :))
