I disagree. Because its throughout the song very subtly and the song I feel should be more pleading towards JD using pathos and emotion to convince him. Though based on context I do sort of like it. Agressive veronica could definitely grow on me :D

To be honest: I never heard of this musical until I saw "Riverdale" tonight. I fell in love with this song (and the other ones of course). This musical is not so popular in Germany I guess (since I never heard of it, even though I am a big fan of musicals). I like this version very much. Their harmonies are great! I hope, it will be shown in Germany someday :)

This song made me do something funny I heard this song at the age of 15, so I always thought "When I'm 17 old how would that be?" same story at 16. Ambas tienen fabulosas voces pero, desde mi perspectiva, la interpretación de Barrett me gusta más ¿Por qué? Porque, cuando Barrett canta esta canción, siento como si le estuviera "rogando" a JD que deje de lado todo el odio que tiene dentro y se centre en el amor entre ambos. Trata de convencer a JD porque lo ama y quiere construir una historia con él. Por eso, siento que esta canción es como una plegaria o súplica por parte de Verónica. En cambio, en esta versión, Verónica es más "agresiva al cantar"; ya no se nota su desesperación al tratar de convencer a JD y lo mucho que le lastima no poder vivir su amor como ella desearía.....A pesar de ello, esta es una buena interpretación.
