I just picked up the Eico 950B off Ebay last week. I had to re-cap it and some of the resistors well out of spec. After replacing everything the unit is working great and I even found a spot for it on my desk (I had the same concern as you, no space). It's a great piece of kit for testing filter caps in vintage radios and such. I'm glad I was finally able to get one. Great vid! Cheers!

The way i've 'retensioned' ccontacts is to put a small flatblade screwdriver between the head of the rivet and the raised part of the contact, give the screwdriver a gentle twist to push the bend away, this also works for wiper contacts Just check if the rivet is tight before you do this.

The tan days of Heath (1969-70 era) were the best of them, as I have the complete bench set. I believe they came out before Zenith purchased them. Sadly, Zenith was their downfall.

On other models I've seen you have to 'hold ' the leakage switch down and as soon as you let go it springs back into the 'discharge' setting, which is a great idea. My point being is this model without this feature or is it bust ?....cheers

Does not have that feature. It is a 3 way switch. Telecaster style.
