This heavy duty lab power supply provides smooth DC for testing and manufacturing equipment. High current setting of up to three amperes and 30 volts DC. With a total weight of 36lbs the unit comes with easy to carry handles and easy to maintain PCB (printed circuit board) layouts. This model was removed from General Electrics Light bulb factory Cleaved Ohio, as part of the effort to go away from incandescent light bulbs.
Here it's demonstrated the operation voltage and current of this unit, using a DMM (digital multi-meter) for volt checking and an analog Kepco amperes meter to show current up to two amps.
MSRP in 1977 was 300 U.S. Dollars for a factory assembled kit. Today in 2023 that would be the equivalent of around 1500 dollars.
