Why are my prints getting scratches after getting into contact with powder plus additional scratch from the curing oven? Mine is miro shaker too.

Did you figure out the problem? I'm thinking about buying one but unsure lol

Yes because of the alignment of my roller in the shaker is not right, i ended up getting scratches from the oven. The powder also causes big clumps and scratches my dtf. I had to make sure no clumps before I pour it in the shaker. Now it is fixed and there are no scratches anymore.

@ke342 awesome thank you for the quick response! Would you say it's worth it?

The miro shaker is worth it as It just automatically does its job. I just had to tape my film from end to end and pour the powder. I may get into issues like the film i taped gets stuck because i didnt tape it enough. That is what i watch out for the first 5-10 mins of printing. Once its gets through out of the oven then im safe and can leave the printing. I just come back to check its still working and still have enough powder on the shaker. It does emit smoke so i have to use an exhaust fan, wear my respirator when operating to be on the safe side.

Do you still need an oven in addition to this or is it ready to press after going through the miro max?

No additional oven is needed. The Miro 13 and new Miro 13 Max have a curing oven built in. So your post-print processing is all self-contained - it will apply powder, shake off the excess powder, heat cure, cool, and roll up your transfers.

How do you avoid wasting so much film when only having to print a few prints for the day? We just got this exact printer installed last week and finding my way around the machine - if we cut at the tube, there is a lot of empty film sitting there for the next days job? Hopefully that makes sense?

Hi there! Using the arrows on the printer, you can feed the roll backwards towards the starting point to avoid any waste.

So after you cut your job off the machine and you need to reset it up for your next job, how do you get the powder you already put in the machine to be back on top of the material? If the media needs to run under the powder, is there a collection bin or something where you re-dump it on top? I've seen the others that shoot the powder from the top after it gets carried back up so I'm not sure about how this design works.

@Jerry-LZ there's a tray on the bottom that catches all of the powder that you can pull out and repor

I have Miro 13 as well but my takeup reel rolls continuously without stopping. I think this is a sensor issue, I cleaned the sensor and still same issue. I just got the Mira 13. Any advice of how to fix this?

Hi there! If you are no longer printing, we recommend turning the Miro off as it will continue going for as long as its on.

How do I avoid wasting all the paper at the beginning. That's ALOT of wasted paper

You can use a "dummy sheet" to pre-load your Miro 13. Load a blank sheet of film into the Miro 13 and tape it to the film that's feeding out of your printer. This blank "dummy sheet" can be removed when the print is done and re-used again in the future.
