I think that the tune and songs the lyrics are talking about are the Junes theme. Multiple times there have been situations where the Junes theme makes her feelings go flip-side, as reflected in the sentence; "Music keeps on turning me from the words that hurt my soul, removing doubts from my mind." And "finding ways through the favorite tune played all day with my eyes closed" And the door she mentions is how Ryotaro rarely comes home, as reflected in the sentence; "Those long days passing by from that door" I'm making this at 1:30 AM so just tell me if this was obvious to some lol

I loveeee how Japanese music (and Korean, and probably any non-English language for that matter) have melodies clearly phrased for Japanese syllables and then they translate to English, causing the phrasing in English to sometimes sound rushed or incomplete despite probably sounding perfect in Japanese. That little off-put vibe really works sometimes, especially in the verse here during the "those long days" it sounds technically off but it adds so much more.
@yeasstt4 жыл бұрын
This music was in the Japanese version too as far as I'm aware. It was written in English, and the phrasing and timing is stylistic
@mikerojano73054 жыл бұрын
@@yeasstt Oh, no yeah, I meant that I'm assuming the lyrics are first written in Japanese to convey what they want to say and then they translate to English, I know it was a conscious effort on them to have it all be in English, seemingly to not distract Japanese players from what I've heard. It's not just in Persona that I hear this, I just think they write melodies with Japanese lyrics in mind and then translate to English.
@yeasstt4 жыл бұрын
Mike Rojano it's possible. The lyrics to some of the songs make no sense
@fearedjames2 жыл бұрын
The actual thing is that Japanese music is based on fitting morae (kinda like syllables) to the intended sounds, legibility be damned. Its not rare to see music that just cuts the last part of a word off and plops it awkwardly at the start of the next line. This is considering horrible in English music, due to cultural and basic ways English works, but since they don't have that, you get this weird sounding effect when the Japanese write English songs.

This is the best part of this game. I love this game to death but despite that, this is what I see as the best part, especially in Golden which is the worst of the enhanced editions not counting The Answer story for P3FeS. That said, this isn’t about FeS, this is about the second best base Persona game in the modern trilogy. Everything from the buildup to Adachi and Namatame, the mysterious letters, the fact that they actually made Nanako 100% die for good in one of the bad endings, and just the fact she temporarily flatlines at all... Not to mention Teddie’s whole arc after AND the dungeon itself being the second best in the game, with the only one I’d argue better being Magetsu Inaba. To top it off, it has the best dungeon music in any Persona game that isn’t just symbolic, but great to listen to and was properly made unlike some songs in 4 and 5.
@Mojo13564 жыл бұрын
I disagree with Teddie’s arc. I honestly hated that part so much since he is just blatantly ignoring his friends even after they have told him at least 4 times that they accept him for who he is- that he was always welcome to the team. I was already annoyed by the fact that Teddie’s arc throughout the story was essentially the same tune sung 4 times with no real difference of any kind, but this just makes Teddie look like an inconsiderate asshole. I honestly think Teddie has the worst arc in the Persona series. I do think that this is otherwise the best part of the game from a narrative perspective... but from a gameplay perspective? Yikes!!! This is the low point!!!! Enemies spam moves that cause seal and exhaustion to the point where you’re wasting a lot of time just trying to keep your party members able to attack and perform all out attacks, and the namatame boss is the absolute worst boss in the game bar none.
@Mojo13564 жыл бұрын
That said, I’d take Golden over FES personally (like hell would I trust the Ai to do my battles for me). I still think 3 Portable is better though barring how Tartarus is a mess. While this isn’t even in my top 5 favorite dungeon themes from the series, this is easily the best dungeon theme in this particular game though, which isn’t saying a lot though because the dungeon themes in general are pretty lame.

@@Mojo1356 I’m actually shocked you struggled in Nanako’s. Most people either struggle during Rise or Mitsuo’s parts then start steamrolling through everything. I was stuck on Mitsuo for way too long.
@Mojo13564 жыл бұрын
@@rezahydra Mitsuo’s was annoying because I had to backtrack for the orbs, but I just mowed through the enemies no problem because they were so slow and had no chance to attack me. It was also at that point in the game where Izanagi got his God’s hand thanks to shuffle time’s magician card. Rise’s gave me a bit of trouble to since enemies hit like trucks at a certain floor, but it’s nowhere near as bad as Heaven. Meanwhile, enemies are way faster in Heaven compared to Naoto’s dungeon, and they spam attacks attacks that cause the most obnoxious status effects in the game like seal or exhaustion. It’s not like other dungeons where they had a few enemies that occasionally used a move that inflicted something like sleep or poison- no. Heaven is littered with enemies that want to make sure you can’t even use your Persona. Not to mention that Heaven was the point in the game where rare enemies start having counter while being immune to magical attacks besides almighty moves that you most likely don’t have at this point in the game aside from Naoto’s megido, which cannot be used to effectively take out rare enemies with how fast they run away... and I game overed a few times because of that since rare enemies reflect Izanagi’s God’s hand more than once.
