How sweet and beautiful. When I was in High School (1970) my best friend knew I was gay but had no idea I was in love with him. Then one day he read my diary and it was all out. I found out we loved each other. It turned hellish high school into Heavenly High School. Time, the Navy and other events separated us. This film reminds me of him. I gauged all men after that based on him. Only one in 66 years has matched him. Both are dead now. But this film reminds me of the wonderful memories I do have. Thank you!

@@bazpitch3360 Thanks, I am doing wonderfully. Only one other man met his high level to me. So rather than be disappointed, I decided at this late time in my life to live with wonderful memories rather than try to create two fantastic loves. I am more content now that I have resolved myself to memories rather than searching. And more in love with me than every before. Kind of you to respond and be concerned. Namaste'.

I loved this short film. But there are many, many gay movies with happy endings. There are just as many or more straight movies with sad and tragic endings. Let us queers be human, fallible and unique to our difficult stories and pain...not always a product of feel-good Hollywood fairy tales that mimic heterosexual romance.

It's really nice to see young guys admitting and more importantly accepting who they are. If I could have accepted myself for who I was at that age my life would have been much less complicated. Thing's in the 60's and 70's were much different than things are now. I hope things get better for the young people today. Accepting yourself for who you are can be a very difficult thing to do.

The telling look was Jake's when Tom left for the bathroom. "Why is he leaving? He doesn't want to have a chance to be with me?" Jake's expression that followed Tom's stare at the end of the nosebleed "treatment" was a bit less definitive, which produced the suspense at the end. Was Jake just confused at the bathroom door or happy? Who is opening the door to be with Tom? The idea of the nosebleed treatment also contributed to the suspense as Jake sent Tom back into the gathering looking pretty silly, like he was volunteering for every question in class. Great final line: "Truth is, I wanted it to be you." The shyness of both comes through very well. A nice understated film.

Thumbs up on this video for the present day in the 21st century and a feel good end. However not representative of the real world in my opinion. The panic and fear of coming out and rejection that might follow I feel ya. Teens today year 2021 have no concept. In another time this situation may have had dramatically different ending. I’m just pointing this out to those in this more open world of the freedom you have to express your feelings was not so not so very long ago. In 1964 I would have to leave that party rather than play 7min in heaven, yes folks the game is that old

@davidgervais78403 жыл бұрын
You kinda missed the point. Gay guys, lesbians and non binary people can’t just find an out of the way spot at a party and start making out the way you two did. Every time a gay guy (can’t speak for anyone else) wants to try something like that, he, and the other guy, have to fear the possible reactions of the people around them. The consequences of misjudging that can be serious harmful, immediately and in their community afterwards. Even in places that should be safe, there is always a little fear. And then, there are places in the world where if people even suspected what they might be doing in the bedroom they would be beaten or arrested or even killed. This movie is a charming scene but it does not reflect the true situation of nonconforming people very often. It is something you and the GF do not experience. I think that is why this film was made.
