The WORD of God stands. True, Tested, For all of time. The Bible. The Bible is available for study, for reading. Believers are encouraged to read the bible and to ask God to help them interpret the wisdom found in the pages of the bible. If an individual reads the bible one time cover to cover and at a glance at church on Sunday, it is important, within their spiritual walk, journey. Thus, recommended and advised. Read The Bible. Go to God directly. Ask God questions. He will answer, if he wants to.

Obviously Andy is not meaning rules aren't for non-Christians (yeah - I know - he says that 38:13). For if rules don't apply to non-Christians, why would Andy say we all need to be forgiven? Forgiven of what? Obviously for breaking the 2 greatest rules: Mistreating others, not loving God. Andy is talking about the hundreds of OTHER family rules we impose (or seek to impose) on non-Christians to condemn them. Yeah - it could have been stated more clearly, but Andy is trying to draw people near to Jesus, then to family rules. In that order. And he is showing that rule-following does not get you into heaven. Anyone that listens to this sermon, and comes to Jesus, will grow in faith and understanding of these concepts. But Andy makes clear - only forgiven people get into heaven. That's truth. And he makes clear that forgiveness only comes through Jesus. That's truth. I think the idea he's trying to get across is that rules apply to all, but it's not our business to impose them - or force people to behave according to them. (Sure - we can advocate for imposing certain societal rules through political and legal frameworks in a democracy). But one-on-one, our role as ambassadors for Christ is to say "rules apply to all, we all fall short, but good news! Jesus reconciles us to God. Do you seek reconciliation? Let's talk!" But there is a confusing idea: God's family rules as given in Lev 18 (regarding sexual relations) also apply to non-family nations. Canaanites are not following the rules, so God is going to punish them. For God says "24Do not defile yourselves by any of these practices, for by all these things the nations I am driving out before you have defiled themselves. 25Even the land has become defiled, so I am punishing it for its sin, and the land will vomit out its inhabitants." And the punishment is pretty severe. Maybe the idea is that the imposition of family rules is not our business, but God may use Christians later on as instruments to carry out His justice? Or - God may call us to go and warn (but not impose rules upon) non-family like Jonah did to non-Jewish Nineveh? But it's their choice to repent or not.

That final bit was perhaps one of the worst “Gospel” presentations I have ever heard. So astoundingly man-centered, so contrary to the *command* found in the Scriptures to all men everywhere to repent. So contrary to the clear Biblical fact of man’s fallenness and refusal to follow *the law of God* ! The law that God holds all men accountable for! What is the message of the Gospel if not a command to repent of *sin* and flee the wrath of God? And what is sin? A falling short of the Glory of God. How does one define sin, and how is one convicted of sin, found guilty of sin, held accountable for sin, if they are not breaking a law or command or “rule” as you say? Brother Stanley, I really hope you stop going down this path. You are undermining the entire message of the Scriptures.

Wait what??? Sir with all due respect, have you read the Bible? like in full with discernment? Bc I count like 15 points where you are utterly wrong and frankly blasphemous saying that Jesus or God was EVER mistaken. I'm so confused.

The sermon seems a little controversial, imo, also. That said, some times that occurs, in the church.

This whole sermon series is egregious spiritual malpractice. He will say heaven but not hell, not once does he say repent or believe, not once does he speak to the sin nature of mankind, and he refers to the Old Testament as simply "literature" instead of the Word of God. Worst of all, he claims that God's rules do not apply to non-believers. Really? Does he not know that breaking these "rules" is what results in sin and therefore condemnation if we are not in Christ? How can one share the true Gospel with non-believers if we do not first show them first that they are in fact sinners in need of a savior? If these "rules" don't apply to non-believers, then they have not committed sin and therefore have no need of a savior. If Andy had read the Bible, he would see many examples from Jesus, the disciples, and Paul where they spoke to unbelievers to repent for breaking these "rules". Andy won't even apply these "rules" to his own church. He will not even speak out against homosexuality and even baptizes open gay individuals. If he truly wanted to show the love of Christ to LBGTQ people, he warn them of the dangers of continuing to live this lifestyle unrepentantly. Run from Andy like your soul depends on it. Check out the Grace to You application and John MacArthur's sermons to hear the true gospel.
