Here's my hot take on Pokemon gens: Gen 4's roster barely counts as a full gen, it's more like DLC. It only introduces 107 pokemon, and if you remove the starters, legendaries and pseudo-legendaries, and evolutions and pre-evolutions of existing pokemon, you know how many you're left with? 52. That's under half of the roster! And it's way under the rosters of regular pokemon in other gens. The designs are solid, but this generation cannot stand on its own.

Did not get to play BW2, but the story of BW1 was ruined right at the start with the whole saving the dream smoke pokemon part. Team plasma's whole spiel for the rest of the game is how pokémon are supposed to be free and treated equal to humans, not put into pokeballs and made to battle for us. But the first ones we meet are physically attacking a pokemon, two on one at that, because it refuses to obey them. Then they battle you in doubles combat because you went to stop them. That kills any chance the team got afterwards for me to see them as in the right. Even N, the one that is supposed to make us see them as possibly in the right, is obviously AT BEST only naive and being tricked by the leader since our first impression of the team already went completelly opposite to what he claims they fight for.

Its got around 90 filler eps, in 1113 episode run so far... Toei doesnt do filler episodes a lot for OP, instead they do the most annoying episode pacing ever, where they stretch 1 single chaper over like 2 episodes and give like a ton of reaction scenes and constant tug of war shots during fights, like one of the most infamous such scenes is the last fight with Dofflamingo, in manga it was a 1 Hit Knockout no difficulty.. in anime same thing lasted like 8 mins of screaming and doing the tug of war back and forth with reactions scenes galore ppl were mad quite a few ppl dropped the anime.
