I am a landscape designer and Morpholio Trace has totally changed how I do my designs. Are used to use a really expensive complicated program, but Morpholio is literally 10 times cooler and way more fun to use not only that but the renderings I can create are so much more visually appealing… My clients are always blown away.

This is a fantastic feature with Morpholio Trace but its worth noting that Clip Studio Paint has some similar features. You can import multiple 3d models not only buildings but also cars, furniture, characters, etc. You just drag a model in and it creates a 3d layer. There are no auto-vanishing points though. The models can be on separate layers or combined, and they also have lighting & shadow controls, as well as line art, silouette, and tone extraction (EX). Artists use this to quickly sketch backgrounds and also figures that can be posed with inverse kinematics or with preset configurations. Not really Architect-friendly, but more flexible like Procreate.

I set my sketchup scenes then save as pdf. Inport the pdf of the different scenes into morpolio trace. Simple. We / I draw in 3d but we always present in 2d as pdf's or print out so keep it simple.

I like to keep everything at 300 dpi so the scale rulers and grids I make for procreate are always at the proper scale. As to Morpholio, I would just say keep it simple. Either 18x24 or 11x17 if you work in US, or A2 and A3 if you work in rest of world. Does that answer your question or have I misunderstood?

Loving the videos, Im an architect and really looking forward to buy my iPad which do you recommend? I saw a video at @MKBHD today saying that the iPad air M1 is the same as the Pro... but i don't know if its worth to buy the pro for the LiDAR scan. Could you help me ?
@iPadForArchitecture
@iPadForArchitecture 2 жыл бұрын
If you can afford it, go for the M1. I'm working up to the same thing myself. So powerful, and you're able to work on sheets that are twice the size with twice the number of layers possible, sp very good investment. Speed and reliability not to be beat

@iPadForArchitecture
@iPadForArchitecture 2 жыл бұрын
@@bernardobelisario it’s not useful quite yet is what I hear, but it will get more useful as time goes by. Apple will update it and keep it fresh for however soon the developers finally take advantage of it so there’s no harm in having it. But it may not be useful for another 1-2 years

Hi, 1) Are everything you're selling (brushes, etc) have a commercial license included, i.e. can I use them for clients projetcs, sketchs etc ? 2) I cant find a video of yours where you explain the reasoning behind the shadows, you either draw them fast or skip to the end-result. Am I missing something ?
@iPadForArchitecture
@iPadForArchitecture 2 жыл бұрын
1) Hi thank you for asking. Yes, you can use them as your private property, as if they were physical scales, but please don't Re-sell them to other Procreate owners, thanks; 2) I haven't done a specific video about the reasoning behind shadows, yet, as I thought that was better left up to an actual drawing class, but maybe I should reconsider. In the mean time, just observe real-world shadows and see how the come from the sun as if it was a pinpoint light source projecting its rays into your rooms or onto a building. If you think of the sun as a flashlight, then play with a flashlight to see how everyday things project shadows when bathed in flashlight, and you will be on your way to understanding shadows. Also, google "how are shadows projected." Thanks for your thoughtful comment
@iPadForArchitecture
@iPadForArchitecture 2 жыл бұрын
PS--Shadow Maker actually calculates the shadows for you, btw. They are hard to see relative to the general gray of the 3D model, but they are there.

Hi!!! Nice video. But I wonder, why don’t you use revit/archicad instead of sketch up ? I think sketch up it’s good, but you make a lot of work building up a model, and all we know that revit/ archicad have lot of power later… thanks!!!

Too bad most of the architecture projects that feed some of the down to earth people don't look even close to what this guy is sketching.
@iPadForArchitecture
@iPadForArchitecture 2 жыл бұрын
Yeh, not sure what if anything can be done about that. Until the developers, bankers, realtors and the prevailing popular taste that control most of what gets built decide otherwise, we're stuck with the world we've got. But one can hope and keep floating new ideas, right?
@AlexB-nt8bg
@AlexB-nt8bg 2 жыл бұрын
@@iPadForArchitecture it's not the ideas because there are so many people with so many of them, not the renderings, because they are so precise not even the planning that make architecture what it should be today, anymore... I don't even want to make this political but it's going by itself as one just by being an opened discussion on youtube over a channel that is promoting fascinating digital work. Nowdays you can't even have an honest conversation over a cup of coffee with anyone anymore but I am not complaining. What i am actually hinting is that even if the softwares are so well put together and user friendly almost idealisticly crafted for architects and artists, even aimed at obtaining best editable results they still lack realism and honesty in every aspect. I am not even against this post-modern way of thinking and ideal planning that takes place for over 50 years. I can't even imagine to think differently for others and maybe for one person but what is actually revealing about these products is that even if the authors manage to present something that can or may be tangible and even approved for built, they still don't pass the authentic feel. Fact is that in such a digital environment I just can't believe that architects will ever have a sense of fulfilment like when I accidentally spilled coffee or wine over a hand drawing or a draft or even when I made mug rings and still got the check
