You nailed this. Every time I made Chicken Noodle Soup it had No flavor. I made this soup tonight and finally sucess. I think the process you use of slightly cooking the Onion and Garlic and not being afraid to use salt, and the Corn Starch made all the difference. I used butter but a lesser amount. My family said this was " Delish". When I tasted it I totally agree! Thank you!!!

I'm becoming addicted to your recipes. This one brings back so many sweet memories of my Grandma. SheWas forever in the kitchen making so many tasty meals . Her husband, my Grandad kept chickens in the garden . ( World war 2 was a time of rationing in UK so anything that could be grown and sown was a huge help ) . Thank you Christine, the sweet memories are definitely endless with my homemade favorites and grandchildren, they love my homemade recipes which are also made with so much love. The really cool thing about this recipe is that though it has a lot of great ingredients to prepare, I make enough to freeze for 3-4 more meals and it taste even better after being frozen because the onions, celery and garlic has time to further season the chicken and broth. Properly stored it will maintain best quality for about 4-6 months, but will remain safe to eat even beyond that time. Just remember to leave out the noodles on the portion that you're freezing until you use it later. Thanks so much for watching and have a great day.

This looks similar to how my mother makes the base for chicken & dumplings. She uses a bit more corn starch slurry, and fluffy biscuit dumplings, which thicken the base even further. But the butter! That is definitely taking the richness up a notch. Definitely going to try that next time I make chicken and dumplings.

Hello Michael, if your using the same size pot I used in the video (my pot is an 18 cup pot) then you want to add in your pot while you're boiling your chicken 12 cups of water, (because you want to leave room for the chicken) and I had in the video one 32 oz carton of chicken broth just in case I needed a little extra at the end of the recipe. Please show how you started the chicken. Did you use breast or thighs? Did you brown it?
