I love Marald. His smooth and slick rendering really sticks out in the scene. I also love how his digital color still maintains an organic natural feel. Sometimes digital color can have a certain sterility to it but his stays ambient and natural. Also, dude seems like the nicest guy ever.

@8:26 That book!!! I have been searching for it for so damn long. I couldn't remember who the artist was or the book title but it was fundamental in sparking my interest in art as a child. It has been bugging me for years as to who the artist was!

I am incredebly fortunate to own one of his originals. Piece called wake up, which is part of the Purple collection. I met Marald at the a venue in the Netherlands where Baroness was playing at the time and asked him about about it. Send him a message the next day. So yeah I can confirm he is really open to this and just a really nice guy. Yes it was really expensive, but I still enjoy it every day. I grow carnivorous plants as a hobby and am a huge baroness fan for many many years. And that piece was just perfect for me. So if you see something you really like and have some money to spare just contact him.
