This is the war diary of a Soldier with the Name Rudolf. He was a tank gunner in a German tank and went 1941 to fight at the eastern front in Russia. What he saw and experienced is written down. This is brutal and hard to hear, but this is the true face of how these men went through the hell of World War 2.

Sounded like his panzer regiment was made part of the Panzer Lehr division?, the most powerful regular army panzer division. It fought in Normandy in the D-day campaign. I would have remained as an instructor, close to the wife and new child.
