One more very important thing to check before you go to remove the drive line make sure there is slack or move ment on the drive line a drive line can kill you if you don't do it correct when removing it

So by going to that line you can use that trucks brakes to help slow down

yea pretty much. its a cheaper option than buying a brake buddy but on some trucks you have to look for the line under the truck.

The drive shaft does not get balanced on the but rather off the truck

Could you not have rear hooked this so to not have to worry about airing brakes and pulling driveline??
