I'd rather hear the music from those twin pipes of that working semi than the screaming guitars.

Those guard rails on the blade arms seem like a giant waist of time. If someone hits the blade, a little bit more metal attached to the metal isn't going to soften up the impact.

WTF heavy haul? My gramps used to haul around his old D8 around on nothing but a 290 powered White road boss and a two axled non detachable goose neck. smh this is overkill. Also here's a guy who regularly hauls around his D9H: kzbin.info/door/Vr-uUnTEFPhMMxmknr5LMw
@bharris76104 жыл бұрын
First off it's not 1960 anymore , second that other guy is hauling an ancient d9 which is roughly the same thing and last but most important. It's two different states. So basically it doesnt matter what you think , it matters what that permit says to do

A very nice video but, they could have clean up the tires on the trailer for a better showing of their equipment. It took away from the total package of the clean truck and trailer image.

With some our highways/roads such deplorable shape do you not at times drag the front of that trailer seeing how it rides so low to the ground? I've seen this with car haulers a lot. I did a stint at one of GM's auto plants. The haulers complained about it all the time.
@Truckerdaddy6 жыл бұрын
Depends on the height setting. The trailer I use has 4 settings. I almost always use the highest setting. It gives me about 8inches of ground clearance depending on the weight of the machine.

Gotta start small and work your way into it. I started with a construction company and we had several smaller pieces of equipment, but I slowly progressed into out bigger equipment like komatsu 200 excavator, Cat D6 hi-track dozer, etc. Now I'm with a different company doing asphalt work. We have a big Cat loader (integrated tool carrier model), big Cedar Rapids paver, Etnyre chip spreader, old John Deere 690-D excavator, and various smaller pieces. Heaviest I've ever ran was a little over 90k. Widest is around 12ft with our chip spreader. Tallest is just a little over 14ft with the Cat loader.
