👀👍! the ease of convenience with the ball latch system is crazy, but i think i would still go with screws

I feel like one of my biggest gripes with these Cycle boards is that everybody comes out with videos after the GB ends, and by that time it's basically already too late. Sure it *was* good value, but it's presented as if you can still go and get it right now, and that you'll be able to get it for the foreseeable future. In reality once the extras are gone, that's it. It's not getting made anymore, and the number of extras will likely be very limited too since they've allocated only a certain amount to each vendor even during the GB stage. Value doesn't mean much when you can't even get it, and you already know second hand market is going to be unjustifiably expensive. To be clear, I still really enjoy all the videos coming out about it, this one included; the cinematography, the editing, the sound design is just so cozy and top notch. I understand that they probably don't operate at the scale necessary to keep making more of them whilst pursuing newer designs, and they only have so much manufacturing capacity so they can't just take some unlimited number of orders. And ultimately, more options like this at this price range is a good thing, even if they can't be available forever. It just really irks me is all, given how good these boards are presented to be compared to their contemporaries in the same price bracket. And for me personally, it's especially because this is the one Cycle board that would actually interest me since I just don't find layouts smaller than TKL to be practical for my use case. I just barely missed it by the time life permitted me to come back to the hobby in earnest, and it feels like people discussing it revel in the fact that people missed it and it won't rerun for them after the fact. Just feels kinda bad.

@alicec2033 thanks for dropping by and sharing your thoughts. Unfortunately being a small channel I wasn't sent a prototype to make a video prior to the gb hence I had to purchase from the china gb that was ran earlier before the international. Video is thus unfortunately late. Do keep an eye out for extras or from the secondary market. I think it's an exceptional good TKL even before considering the low price point. Good luck :)

@@studio20creations Thank you! ^^ I didn't mean anything against you in particular, everybody presents the board in that same light despite posting after it ended, and it was starting to frustrate me ^^; Either way, best of luck to you too! Your channel and content are phenomenal, I'm confident you'll make it big :)

Would you consider the Cycle8 leagues above the Neo80 or is it similar?
@studio20creations2 ай бұрын
I haven't personally built the Neo80 but I would think most keyboards today perform extremely well, you can see builds online and make your own preferential choice. I am quite enamored by TKD's products, they haven't disappointed so far, offering very premium feeling boards for such low prices.

How much does it weight with the added plates? In grams or kg?
@studio20creations2 ай бұрын
Roughly 300g

@@studio20creations i mean the whole kit with the 300g of added weight
@studio20creations2 ай бұрын
It should be just shy of 3kg fully built. I didn't weigh it before I sent it back but it felt similar to other keyboards around the same 3kg mark. Hope this helps.

Is the Metal color a neutral grey or has a cold or warm cast?
@studio20creations2 ай бұрын
I would say that under natural lighting it is fairly neutral with a slight bias towards cool tones and a tiny hint of blue

isn't directly putting pcb on alu case cause short circuit?
@studio20creations2 ай бұрын
If an electrical circuit comes into contact with metal yes, but how is this relevant to the video?
@yanz_772 ай бұрын
@@studio20creations i saw you put the pcb directly without any foam between pcb and case
@studio20creations2 ай бұрын
The bottom of the pcb will not touch the bottom case since the assembly is being suspended by the mounting points. Safe to use with with or without case foam :)
