So I guess this is about how Ivypool began meeting with Hawkfrost because she was lonely and a little jealous, looking for a friend. And she found one, for a short time, but soon she realized Hawkfrost's intentions towards turning her against her clan.

Anyway this is 397 frames, and I was somehow able to work on this over the course of a few months? You can see towards the end how my style improves a little.

i always found ivypool and hawkfrost's relationship interesting.(not romantically, i never saw them that way) but the dynamics of how they interacted to each other, and what he other must have felt. despite hawkfrost's intentions/attitude, im sure he must have felt some kind of care for her at somepoint. i dont believe in characters being "pure" evil

At one point they had feeling for eachother but then he had different intentions for her that she did for him,then she found out and out of fear,she did what he said,then she had a fight with him,he was about to attack but killed holly leaf instead,making ivy pool so mad and sad she confronted him ending with bramble law killing hawkfrost making her happy because somebody avenged holly leaf,and saved her from him. _Thinking about it, Hawkfrost must of liked or picked her because in a way, she reminded him of himself. Tigerstar likes Brambleclaw more, he always had. And with Sasha gone, and the rest of his clan treating him like some sort of outsider, he wanted to make Tigerstar more prouder than ever. And he failed. And in seeing someone who's sibling is treated better, he must of felt sympathy. He used it against her, of course, but I bet he still felt a connection or speaking from truth when talking about it to Ivypool._

I like that you were able to put this song into the context of their relationship. In the song, the young woman is looking to move on, and she does so by trying online dating. The guy she attempts to meet up with (and this is me agreeing with several of the comments I saw on here) flaked out because he wasn't able to handle her baggage. In the case of Hawkfrost and Ivypool, she was feeling neglected and ended up in the wrong place. As a result of her feelings, she clung to the first cat who seemed to care about her, a log like the woman in the song. But Hawkfrost was using her for his own purposes and never truly bothered to notice how far Ivypool was willing to go for his attention (romantic or not) so by the part where she's like "I thought you saw me", she's realizing that there's nothing she can do to impress him. And then she ends up fighting him because she knew which side she was on. She made her choice, even if it meant watching a piece of herself die with him, because she put so much effort into trying to get his attention even though she knew what the end result would be. It doesn't have to be romantic, though. This is just how I see her actions in regards to Hawkfrost.

Tigerstar of MeadowClan I wouldn't necessarily say that. Hawkfrost was the only trainee cat he truly liked and cared about. He truly thought she was on their side, he didn't have to manipulate. I no longer ship them, because that would be a domestic violence relationship. Sure, he never hurt her with words, but he was a bit rough with her in training and such. :T But I still belive that Hawkfrost cared about Ivypool

Because of how Omen of the Stars dragged on a pretty slow and worn plot line (it was interesting, but just lasted too long), I feel like Hawkfrost and Ivypool’s TRUE relationship is often overlooked. It’s actually got a lot of depth, is extremely conflicting and layered, and adds so much to their characters

one of the saddest parts about ivypaw/pool's visits to the dark forest is the fact that she knows she can't stop. even if she wanted to and even if lionblaze and jayfeather let her, she wouldn't be able to because she'd gotten too involved with it. I honestly hold a high respect for Ivypool because she got past so much.

I really enjoy this pmv. Hawkfrost isn’t presented as just some evil guy who is all “standby stabby kill kill”, it shows that he’s beyond what he turned out to be in the Dark Forest. Ivy and Hawk’s relationship was very interesting and I wish that the Erin’s did more with it. Hawkfrost was a bad person, yes, but he wasn’t born inherently bad. I believe he did care about Ivy, let it be in his own twisted way, and he was around her more than her actual father. And no I do not think of them as romantically, more like big brother little sister dynamic. In a way, Hawkfrost might’ve seen some of himself in Ivypool because of their similar situations; having a sibling viewed as better or more skilled than themselves. I think the pmv was amazing in expressing the emotion and the relationship between the two, and the end got me-

I honestly think that hawkfrost and ivy can be seen two completely different ways, one, romantically, and the other, like family. In many ways i think that hawkfrost kinda was like a father figure towards Ivy, because he was really around more than her actual parents, and he tought her nearly everything she knows, not to mention the fact that ivypool was almost ignored by her clanmates, he gave her the support and kindness she needed, yet despite his efforts she still betrayed him in the end, he saw it as kinda, his time and friendship wasted on her, yet he was still sorrowful.

This oddly fits these two. "I'm grieving over loss" I took that as her overreacting to not getting enough attention (Not like I see her as a crybaby or anything, I just think she overreacted and that lead to her downfall) and taking a chance to get it. Not the best choice, we soon learn. Ivypool just wanted someone who could respect her, and she got that. It's just the cats who respected her did it because of all the wrong reasons. I like how in this song the male leaves the woman behind, because here it shows that even if Hawkfrost seemed interested at first, she was never quite his favourite. I do believe, though that for a long time she was, and Tigerstar told him to deal with other trainees, and... Ivypool was deserted. "I was sure you saw me. But it wasn't meant to be" This shows how, like I said before, Hawkfrost didn't like her quite as much (as an apprentice) and she "finally gave up" and told the others about her training there. She no longer had use for him, seeing as he no longer gave her attention. Again, I don't see her as a crybaby or a mary sue or anything like that, but I think the fandom gives Dovewing too much hate even though Ivypool is more of the cat that was thirsty for attention. I can’t believe I just noticed this, but you don’t see where Hawkfrost was stabbed until he steps into the Dark Forest. And when he enters it, his eyes are inverted, I suppose implying that he was showing his true colors, instead of his friendly exterior.

im still loosing my mind over this video. i found it 3 years ago and i loved it religiously, watched it everyday for a few weeks, like i was /dedicated/. i still love coming back and watching it every so often, and every single time, i am still blown away with the art and how your art and editing matches the energy of the song. this also got me to adore this song, and every time i hear it, it reminds me of this pmv. so, heres a kudos for having me binge this for days and keep watching it, 3 years later!! this will always remain one of my very most favorite and close pmvs/amvs. thank you so much for making this

super off topic i love this video but i used to doubt ivypool's design like, so much? like i'd never been able to find a cat on the internet that looked like that. then one time i went over to my friend's house and their fucking cat looked JUST like the common design for ivypool? white with large grey splotches that had darker stripes in them. i had no idea cats could have those markings and it blew my mind

Adding on to the reasons why Ivypool x Hawkfrost is....peculiar: They have a pretty significant age difference. Yeah, Hawkfrost is dead and in Darkforest, but he was born way long before Ivypool. *although I'm honestly starting to think that age difference doesn't matter in the Warriors books when it comes to relationships...*

I love this video so much. It perfectly shows how tragic Ivypool's journey is throughout the arc, and that she's left behind and feels alone, and the one cat she believes is her friend is merely manipulating and using her, making her feel more alone than before.
