I've been to one of the six announced Linkin Park concerts in Hamburg/Germany 3 days ago. It was SOOOO SICK! Emily is doing Chester proud. The Fans absolutely loved her, chanting "Emily! Emily! Emily! through the whole venue and also the crowd singing and screaming along! . They also surprised us by playing this song for the first time (before the official release). Incredible atmosphere, the sound of Mike & Emily is so fcking good together! HEAVY IS THE CROWN 👑

I honestly like Emily Armstrong, and I think she does Chester’s memory justice. This felt very much like HT and Meteora days of Linkin Park. Also the break for Faker’s entrance was badass as hell. It felt so perfect for the undisputed king of the rift. Especially since so many of his peers want to be at his level or even surpass him. This song is a total W

"the emptiness machines" it´s a major hit, pure oldschool linkin park. chester would be really proud of picking emily as his successor.

I listen to Linkin Park and this is so OG sound of them! I love the song. And it's nice to hear something new for Worlds anthem. Heavier tone is so fresh. I love the concept for MV especially that this worlds are happening in Europe.

Been listening to reactions all day. The song is fantastic. I grew up with Linkin Park too. From my perspective, the song seems to have a double theme and in my mind I feel that that's why it doesn't sound really like a typical Worlds song. It obviously has The theme of the video that you've deduced with the crown and Faker. But I feel like it's also relevant to Linkin Park In the sense that Emily is now wearing the heavy crown Left behind by Chester. And I feel that she makes a tribute to him with that 15 second scream which resembles the one on "Give it Up." This anthem feels like both a Worlds 2024 anthem and an anthem to Linkin Parks new beginnings. Also sorry I've been absent from the streams, semester started and it is kicking my ass lmao

OMG i think it's AWESOME! I'm a long time fan & player of LoL, but don't really follow LP. This anthem is really different from the previous years, but in a great way, since it shows the range Riot is willing to expand to provide to its fans. It's also a good decision in my opinion to take a break from heavy Kpop influence, since it can seems a bit repetitive for some people (fans) that don't really enjoy it

Aside from the stuff you pointed out, there's also acknowledgement of Faker's struggle as "the GOAT" here as well. Both the visuals and the song remind us that while Faker is the most legendary and most decorated player of all time, that comes at a price. Is the grass really truly greener on the other side? Is being king really that grand of an experience? Anyone that's been paying attention over these last several years knows that when it comes to Faker, he has to grapple with a set of really unique challenges that only exist because he is League's GOAT. And this year especially, it's been a tough year for Faker & T1. They were DDOS'd so much that they couldn't even practice properly for a good part of the year, due to an exploit in an anticheat that only exists on the Korean server. They've had a really rough time reading the meta and Faker has been struggling with meta picks as well as his ongoing wrist/arm issues. This year we even saw Faker show a side of himself he was careful to never display for 11 years, because he was so frustrated with his poor performance and the pressure from fans and haters alike. "Heavy is the crown" that we've given him. But like the song says, this is exactly everything he's asked for by performing so well from his 2013 debut onward and seeking such high levels of glory. The rest of T1, themselves being first time ever World Champions as of Worlds 2023, have undoubtedly had a big reality check about how it's not all smiles and rainbows when you're the champs. What comes after is an avalanche of expectations and pressure, and other unforeseen happenings such as the cyber attacks. LoL fans are ruthless and this community literally eats their heroes. There's also a parallel in the song where Emily Armstrong is definitely facing backlash as the new singer taking the place that once belonged to the late Chester. Many don't think she is worthy of his "crown". By joining the band, she surely knew what was coming next especially as a long time LP fan herself. "This is what you asked for" is probably adjacent to what she told herself once the fans started pushing back on her being the new singer. Toward the end of this video, when Faker begins to scream, the scene cuts to Emily's screaming face in the same position, symbolizing that both of them are grappling with this idea of a crown being heavy, a legacy and expectations being so much to live up to, but that the struggle is something that just comes with the territory. I feel like this entire video sequence and song are a cautionary tale to anyone that seeks high achievement, fame and glory. It's not a "don't bother trying because X reason" type of thing, but rather a "yes you should try to reach this level but just be realistic about what it is you're trying to obtain".

G, T1, Hanwa Life Esports, Dplus KIA (LCK); G2 Esports, Fnatic (LEC); Bilibili Gaming, Top Esports, LNG Esports, Weibo Gaming (LPL); Flyquest, Team Liquid, 100 Thieves (LCS). From here on are the teams competing in the play-in stage of the tournament to secure a spot in the swiss stage. After 2 or 3 back to back shit songs for worlds (I mean songs themselfe in the void were ok, but they were VERY bad worlds songs) its refreshing to have an absolute banger. I'm not even close to be a rock fan, but rock is the ONLY right choice for worlds song, these have to be fire, and pump you up to fuck the enemy up, and rock is just the best for it...anyways, the video would be awesome...if they didn't do as many cuts to a fucking band. If they want to they could make 2nd video, that focuses more on the band, but worlds music video is celebration of the players. Replace all band cuts with more of the other teams fighting each other for the right to challange Faker, and/or give us more Faker in a throneroom screentime...the entrance of music stoping, fighting stoping cuz, FAKER IS HERE is badass as hell tho

Good song. Seems like Linkin Park is going back to the roots. Animation style was nice. Too much screen time for LP in the Movie though. More focus should have been given to the players. Overall not a bad music video.
