And I know that caps is there for western representation, but Contractz would have been my pick for that insane upset vs G2 instead. Bin and Chovy I definitely have no complaints about being afforded screentime as I believe most people see these 2's teams, but more so these 2 individually as T1's biggest enemies.

Fits the theme of the song and what it represents, with Chester having the crown and Emily taking the reigns which is an incredibly heavy burden due to the size of the shoes needing to be filled. "It's Goin' Down" was their single with Mike Shinoda and Joe Hahn Fort Minor was a Mike Shinoda project, an year later Chester had his supergroup Dead By Sunrise Also Mike is referencing "pen is mightier than the sword" which was first used by English author Edward Bulwer-Lytton in 1839, not his other songs He has referenced his other songs, like in A Thousand Suns he referenced "The Catalyst" in the track "Jornada Del Muerto" in japanese "Mochiagete tokihanashite" or "Lift me up, let me go"

I am Korean. And I have been a fan of T1 and Faker for a long time. First of all, I was happy to hear Linkin Park's 'Heavy Is the Crown' as the theme song for the 2024 League of Legends Worlds. It is clear that LP's new song has captured the hearts of LP fans who have been waiting for it for a long time. However, I think that the story and narrative of T1 and Faker's 2023 Worlds were not fully reflected, and all the Asian faces in the movie were expressed so similarly that even I, a Korean, could not easily tell them apart. Lastly, I think that it is not shown at all that it has been 10 years since the first championship and 7 years since the last championship, and that all four LPL teams have won and finally won the Worlds trophy.

Faker was made to look so awesome in this! I LOVED this! It's a shame that a lot of T1 fans are losing their minds about Linkin Park having too much screentime and the video's storyline not matching the Worlds 2023 one (people basically wanted the video to be all about Faker/T1's struggles and rise to winning Worlds last year, not just a video of them defending their title). I think they're being too emotional and ignoring what's actually fantastic about this video. Although, I think they missed a huge opportunity to create a proper Demon King storyline with Faker. Considering, that has been his "title" for many years. Also, YES, Emily is absolutely living up to Chester's legacy and doing his position justice. She does not replace him, and they cannot be compared. They are just two amazing singers from two different Linkin Park eras.

The song is good no argument there, but you'll see that a lot of fans are mad about the video. The reason being that Faker the one who came out of the door all cool like at the end won his fourth world Title, so a lot of fans mostly the Koreans were hopping for a tribute video for that achivment for being the only player ever to have 4 Worlds Wins. I think its very fun (and it says something, i just dont know what lmao) that a lot of western fans love the music video, while a lot of Korean fans are (understandably) upset or dissapointed by it. The difference in facial expression and animation between the Asian players and the Anglo-Western players / Linkin Park in this mv is for sure something. I've seen that comment a lot. Thing is people compare to last year where there was a proper narrative to the video. This year they decided to not follow a proper narrative, and I don't think it is necessarily a bad thing. Sure, all the T1 and Faker lovers will complain about it, but it's not a mistake not to have done one. 2021 didn't have one, 2022 didn't have one, 2020 didn't have one, 2019 technically didn't have one either. But now that it's Faker, there suddenly needs to be a narrative. So of course now they had more liberty to do whatever they wanted with the video. For some reason, people expected this anthem to not be any anthem but just a Faker tribute song. Like, the point of the anthem is to pump you up. Personally, I feel like this anthem is the best one we had since Rise, hands down. And I don't think the players are being merely used as props. Players use the epicness of Linkin Park (best example when Sylas tears the door down as the chorus kicks in), and Linkin Park use the players fighting as extra epicness.

I think Mike Shinoda was on Arcane premiere. If i remember right he said that he is League of Legends fan. And there is a viral clip with his interview from this premiere. Girl who interviewing him didn't know his face, but know LP =) Her reaction was insane.

To me, it’s less that it SOUNDS like Linkin Park. They have always had a unique and distinct thumb print to their music. What’s more important is that it FEELS like Linkin Park. Chester can never be replaced but the torch can be passed.
