Absolutely, I'm right there with you on that. My wife does all the video editing and a lot of the filming as well. Not to mention flagging for me on projects like the one in the video and doing fire watch for me when we get up into level 3. We're a good team. Sounds like you and yours are too. Thanks for the comment and for watching, we appreciate it! Be safe.

I liked "you don't need a whole lot of pressure when you push with a machine." Amen, Brother. My last job, (retired Laborer, NY state) I was asked to cut a couple small oaks on a job, we got there and Marshall, North Carolina, who I had never met was runnin a 325 Cat Hoe, bucket against the tree, I asked, "you ain't pushin much, are ya?" He didn't say anything, but the look on his face told me the whole story! We dropped those two trees, I am NOT a Feller, just a firewood cutter for myself, no problem. Rest of the job, I was ditch foreman, 42" gas, and me and Marshall, who I now called, "Smooth" were a team for the rest of that job. I knew right away, this guy was the real deal, and we had some good times him and me. Thanks for the details and video

Hey, that's a good story, thanks for telling it. Having been on both sides of the pushing tree operation I appreciate that you know just what I'm tlalking about. I've had to have some direct conversations with operators to get us both on the same page! And it also translates into me doing everything I can to be steady on if I'm pushing for another faller, or myself. I always amazes me how well balanced trees are when they're standing, even when they have considerable go in one direction or another. Thanks for the comment and for watching, we appreciate it!

Thank you! Always glad when roadside work is done, with no problems! I had excellent help, a key component in having it go smoothly.

@@thedailylogger yessir that is a fact, especially when public is one of those components to figure into the program.

@@woos31 Isn't that the truth. It didn't make the video but after I shut the Buncher down and walked over to the truck to get the saw a pickup stopped between me cutting one and my wife in the truck and the guy sat there and watched me cut it. I had my hands full with what I was doing and she was calling traffic so she couldn't make him move but you'd think he would put two and two together. Crazy.

Copy. It's pretty cool to see the different angles. I always enjoy watching and seeing what my wife (the editor in chief) has come up with. Never disappointing, especially since I know it all went well! Thanks for the comment.

Good looking work!! Sometimes you have to drop it down a gear. I'm getting ready to cut a couple million ft on steep terrain with patches of Christmas trees all in it. Gonna be a similar slow go.

Who's that in the passenger seat
@thedailylogger2 жыл бұрын
That's the safety inspector. He keeps a pretty close eye on me, I think he has some concerns about my abilities! With good reason too! Seriously though, that's Beckett, generally he's a ball of fire, but when he's with my wife and she's flagging for me or on fire watch he's completely focused on what I'm doing. Probably make a good operator in a few years! Thanks for asking, good to hear from you.
