Kranfahrer gesucht. Ich wollte immer was neues ausprobieren. Mikado.... Was ne Zeit...

We just bought 2 of them here in NYC. Can't wait until we put her through her paces. We have two 1450's and I'm not impressed, compared to our older 1500's which were absolute beasts!. Will be interesting to see how these 1650's perform when picking up transformers for Con Edison

How can you even compare a smaller crane with long boom with a 500 with short boom?!
@jamescaliendo10302 жыл бұрын
@MR T honestly I think it has more to do with the older style ballast system on the 1500. The slabs instead of the adjustable cheeks seems to give the 1500 much more "ass" so to day. We use our short (heavy) boom for transformer pics and the 1450 gets grumpy real quick whereas the 1500 at the same radius never makes a sound

I rode past possible one of these on the A20 Rotterdam... I was like: When this crane will ever end?
@georgepretnick44602 жыл бұрын
A crane like that probably costs several million Euros. To buy that crane, the company had to go to a bank and borrow the money. To service the debt, that crane has to work as much as possible. Set up and operation appears to take a crew/payroll of six to ten workers. A single lift could cost 20K to 50K euros.

How so? A 60 series detroit diesel in a Peterbilt truck with a float would pull it. Have you ever even driven or been around heavy trucks? Crazy.....
@cranelord4 ай бұрын
@@rogerstrikewell I'm a crane operator that drives a 450t crane so I've got some idea of what I'm talking about. You're aware of axel weight limits? Doesn't matter what the truck can pull. Most of our big crane counterweight can only have 2 weights which is almost 50000 lbs. (We don't get oversize permits for our counterweight trailers) Full counterweight for my crane is 7 trailers.
