I am enjoying these Heavy Metal Sundays Dunsy.... Tygers of Pan Tang, what a great band, in fact when Robb Weir was endorsing, and playing Spear Guitars, I purchased a Spear Tomcat Golden Tiger after I saw him playing one. There was also a feature in Guitar World magazine at the time on this guitar, which helped my decision. Great specs for the price, they have Seymour Duncan pickups, a Jazz in the neck and a Jeff Beck in the bridge, this is still my favourite guitar to play, even today.

Pallas! Love 'em. I recently took delivery of their box set on Esoteric Recordings, with the original Arrive Alive album from '81, which I'd never heard before. They always reminded me a bit of my fellow Canadians Saga in their ability to write a concise, punchy prog song.

Frank Marino man. Wow. He is one of the greatest guitarists ever. I think he did 1 interview with Kerrang and it was short. He came thru Chicago 3 times off of his Juggernaut LP and I saw him twice. Then after 13 years he took a break and changed. He was amazing live.

Can’t remember if it was just Sounds magazine but I used to love the family trees

I bought Kerrang for years. No MSG or UFO or Bernie Torme on the cover that I see. I actually bought several albums because of reviews. Do you have the one where Gary Barden and Paul Raymond leave MSG? They are on the cover. I think I started right after that and the Reading 82 festival.
