45 years ago I loved to run fast and do power cleans with 10 reps at 105kg @ a body weight of 76kg . My running days are over but now I love doing double kettle bell at 24Kg swing ,clean, squat, press , back to chest and repeat. I don’t like single bell work so much. My body weight now 106Kg @ 66 years old.

I recently did a 2 hand 88lb swing set, and a double 40lb swing set the week after. The double 40lb KBs were far more challenging.

I agree with you completely, but I still love throwing single bell work in also. Somehow doing heavy single cleans just feels different. I really feel like hip and obliques tie into my opposite shoulder, and the squats feel great also. That said, I will do them as a secondary thing do my double KB work

Hello Joe! Thanks for sharing. I currently have a 16K kettlebell. It's been great amazed by the work I can do with it. I've been looking at the adjustable Bells or steel KB so I can make progress while saving space and $. My qn to you is should I get one. The extension pack goes up to 32K base is 20K or should I get 2 base 20K. These things don't come cheap so I wanted to invest in whats right. BTW I'm 35 yo, 155 -165 lbs, depending on my conditioning levels. I want to make gains and get stronger. Also re enroll in Marital arts. Appreciate your advise.

I think you'd be fine getting double weights that go up to 20kg at your size. Maybe later someday aget a heavier bell.

Would you recommend just starting with doubles ASAP for someone new to weight training in general? I’ve been working with a single adjustable bell for most of this year. Im debating buying a second one - honestly would just do it if price wasn’t a factor. But, moderate C+P volume of something like 22kg fries my arms, I can wear my legs(and lungs) out with high volume swings, and I still haven’t incorporated much snatching. In other words, I feel like there is still progression to make with the single bell, although I’m not sure it’s efficient relative to two. Is there any reason to keep working up my progressions to get a stronger baseline with 1 bell or should I just make the jump?

Yes get a pair and use 2x12 alot. Then 2x16. So much more to gain with doubles

even if you train with doubles you'll still want to do single stuff. But guarantee your torso and legs will be stronger for the heavier singles . I use both single and double training

Doubles are really nice to train with Very different than with one I find it a lot harder to hold overhead The bells move against each other and that's completely different stablisising them I always wondered why in Russia they pretty much always train with doubles Its just really good to do so Now as I have my second 20kg I know why 👍

Recently, I have opted for doubles over singles. I've come down in bell weight but found the doubles to be so much more beneficial. PS ... new subscriber to this channel ... great infomation and content.
