I watched Brent when he first bought this town, and heard all of his dreams and I thought...it seemed daunting...but he never gave up and kept working it. This is by far the best thing I have ever seen. Being a contractor for my whole life and doing builds completely off the grid is a life changing experience. I know this first hand. As I watched this video all I wanted to do is to be there doing what ever I could but being so far away I just don’t know how I could do it. This is so much more then just another building being built this is something one day our grandchildren will read about. It’s something most people will not get or understand but to build something so far away from anywhere is so challenging but at the end of the day when you watch the sunset you get it. It’s a total different world. It’s quiet peaceful and unfortunately most people will never get to experience that feeling of being in the middle of know where but to be at absolute tranquility. Amazing! Not only are you helping Brent create his legacy but your also helping keep the legacy going that was already created by the many people of the city that came before us. Your helping maintain a legacy but also history. This is part out of some families lives and history that we may not have been apart of but we have learned about it and our children and their children will learn this history. Mining was and is a big part of northern Cali so much so as kids we had field trips to mining areas and the Shasta caverns just about every year. We all got a little jar of gold from the mines to take home which is so cool. I couldn’t even tell you how many times I’ve been to the caverns. It’s wild to see the way the world worked before us. You know D your crew is a direct reflection on their leadership so good for you. I’m a construction guy and saw a need here in my hometown to fix all the baseball fields that the local kids played on sure it was my resources,machinery,materials and connections but I know that feeling you’re talking about it is special and it keeps you going. When you do something right the right people show up. I recently lost my leg and fought for my life but I’m here down not out. I need to make a road trip to see you guys I’m in CO so not too far I tell my wife she should buy me a truck that you guys have put your hands on she just laughs and says I can barely get into the SUV it be comical watching me trying to get into one of your builds.Anyway it’s inspiring to watch what you do we could use a couple more people like you and your crew in this world!
