It's the Native Instruments 'Symphony Series' Kontakt library. More specifically, a combination of the Brass, String and Wood 'essentials collections'. Thanks for watching! Product Link: www.native-instruments.com/en/specials/symphony-essentials/

awesome review, but i cannot notice any difference with the knob.. or do i not have an audio engineer ear?
@TobyRyan7 жыл бұрын
+JOSE ALFREDO These types of effects did take a while of experimentation to train my ear to hear what to listen for. Specifically compression. It can also depend on what you're listening on (Typically monitors or headphones work well for this type of listening.). I don't think you need an audio engineer's ear for this, but rather some playtime and experimentation. If you decide to demo it, I recommend starting off by dialing in extreme settings with each effect on an individual basis to be able to discern what each effect is doing to the audio, then dial it back to taste. As you begin to hear what each effect sounds like, then it becomes a game of trying it out on different types of sounds to build your taste on what you think they sound best on. Afterwards, that's when mapping the ones you like to the Punish knob come in handy to modulate ranges of those effects for as little or as much as you feel best represents your vision for the sound (for example: in this video I added what I liked to the specific sounds. It's often subtle.). You'll discover that these effects are not needed on everything, but sometimes it can add that extra 'something' that you didn't know you were missing. Thanks for watching!

What are the presets that I can see at the top?
@TobyRyan8 жыл бұрын
+spiralsofdanu at the top of the plugin? Those are some of the names of presets that come with Punish. A few of them I tweaked during demonstration. Along with saving your own, they have a menu filled with them geared toward certain types of sounds (like Bass, Drums, FX, etc.). Check it out here in the vid @ 1:33

my Punish crashes after using 3 or more in one project, do you ever encounter this issue?
@TobyRyan7 жыл бұрын
Sorry to hear that! That doesn't sound normal. I've run over 16 or so instances with no issues, however, I have had crashes happen with other plugins and what often fixes it for me is downloading the latest version from the developers and re-installing (un-installing first and then installing that plugin again.). If that doesn't fix it I'd contact Heavyocity support and see if there's a fix or any known issues with any particular setups or DAWs.

Toby Ryan ah man hearing this i feel like punish is punishing me even more. I've had contact with heavyocity but they didn't seem to know the problem. so I'm looking for people now who might have the same issue. the messed up part about punish crashing is that it also corrupts the save file from the project im working on so i cannot open it anymore when it happens and i accidentally save it with the plugin crashed.

Is this to be use on a song after mastering or during the mixing?
@TobyRyan7 жыл бұрын
+AFOLAYAN REAK great question! It‘s designed to be used for both. For example, during the writing and production side, when I need the drums to pop more during a section, it’s got a transient designer for that purpose of shaping and making the attack of snares, kicks or toms sharper. So it covers a few mixing effects already. It also comes with mastering presets that give starting points for adding extra flavor over an entire mix. They give a good feel for final touches on a track. Whichever you intend for a particular sound, mix or master. There’s a demo over on their official page if you’d like to try it out and see if it’s something you might take advantage of in your studio. Thanks for watching! www.heavyocity.com/product/punish/

magedness. Btw, what is the difference of NI Driver or Supercharge?
@riobernadus85038 жыл бұрын
iyaaaa keknya sih
@TobyRyan8 жыл бұрын
+Al Fonniyas Two different purposes. Supercharger/GT is a compressor with tube harmonic enhancement. Whereas Driver is a distortion effect with a steep resonant filter. Sometimes when I want to compress something, I'll throw Supercharger on it for added character and grit. Similar to how I might use Punish. Driver on the other hand is very good at making screaming distortion. I've made some haunting sound effects with it and it rarely disappoints when needing something unique. Thanks for watching!

It would be a realy great idea if heaviosity would make a vsti lite version of damage which as you know is a kontakt sample pack. Those sounds are really awesome.

heavyocity makes cool shit but goddamn they want a pretty penny for it, even years later.

Thanks for the video, very enjoyable, great presentation. however it was not what I wanted based on the title. This isn't a review in the critical sense of the word. Its an endorsement of features.
@DharmaTechster6 жыл бұрын
How the hell is this a "review?" It's not even a useful demon. When demonstrating something like this, you obviously do careful wet/dry comparisons - which you are not. What you are doing here is simply selling the product, which makes me highly suspicious of Heavyocity's marketing tactics and less interested in buying the product. And yes, I won't be clicking on your videos again.
@TobyRyan6 жыл бұрын
Looking back on this older video, you’re absolutely right. I agree that I can improve in the future by adding wet/dry comparisons for plugins. Honestly, don’t buy anything because anyone tells you to or recommends it, always demo it first and use your own ears to judge if a product will benefit the sound you’re going for - because at the end of the day it’s you and your art that matters. Thanks for watching!
