Not for the first time, these Elliott Covers have uncovered some of the musicality of his composition in a unique way. The simplicity and complexity of his chord choice and changes is so idiosyncratic and...genius I guess. You do an amazing job.

I started learning piano because of these covers! So far I've learned Everything Means Nothing from your lesson video. It was hard! I had to pause the video every other second... I hope it will get easier since I already know a bit of theory from guitar. Do you have any tips for wrist pain?
@heavypiano3 жыл бұрын
I'm so glad I helped inspire you! If you're having wrist pain, check the angle of your hands and wrists-they should be in a very neutral position. Avoid all tension. kzbin.info/www/bejne/ppCZqmqDhbySe80

Oh by the way. I don't know how this piano will sound but some uprights sounds even better on recordings when you put your device behind your piano and record the "backside" because you do not have this "attacking clicking sound" of the hits and a more soft tone. But you need to insulate the area around the microphone that no hall will be recorded. I tried it sometimes. I pull my piano around 30cm away from the wall, and put a pillow between the microphones and the wall of the room to avoid reflections. But i did not uploaded any videos with this technique so I can't show you the result.
@heavypiano7 жыл бұрын
I've done that-I prefer the clarity of the sound of micing up front. I usually angle the recorder up a bit so it doesn't get so much hammer attack noise.
