Another great video Steve. I’m a bad bad man. Whenever I see a plain non liveried lorry in the Maidenhead/Bracknell/Reading area, I kinda wish they’d break down to give you some video content 😂😂😂 stay safe! 👍

What rating do the chains that chain the axle down have and what chain ratings do you carry on the wrecker
@HeavyRecoverywithSteve
@HeavyRecoverywithSteve Жыл бұрын
Hi Ryan , 7mm chains for securing axle into lifting forks which have a 1.5t rating as only keep axle from sliding and lifting out of fork. For winching various chains going up to 16mm which have a WLL of 8t all Grade 8 , 14 in total.

Where did you get your wireless trailer board from Steve?, as been looking for 1 myself and can only find the indicator break light units that are wireless, or did you make the board yourself ??

After removing the half shaft you don't always put a bag on, how come? Seems like dirt can easily get in there.
@HeavyRecoverywithSteve
@HeavyRecoverywithSteve Жыл бұрын
Hi Daliuskal thanks for watching , put blue roll into shaft to keep dirt out and just wiped inside hub before refitting half shaft as its sealed unit.But half shaft cover best if you got one to fit truck mate or you would have to use bag if hub had roller bearings.

@regularguy3665
@regularguy3665 Жыл бұрын
In this instance it’s under warranty, and DAFAID (or the dealership acting on their behalf) is likely the customer. R&S probably have contract terms with them. Secondly there are probably more DAF on the road currently than any other manufacturer.
@dafla1976
@dafla1976 10 ай бұрын
In my opinion, DAF's are the best chassis to have with a sweeper. I had a DAF for 12 months but now I have a volvo but much prefered the DAF and this is why - difficult to see out the rear window at roundabouts coz you've got air tanks behind the cab blocking the view, where as on the DAF, they're a lot lower down. Also the power wash is located in a different place, adblue tank opposite side to donkey engine diesel tank, seat belt alarm goes off on volvo if u don't wear it and not much storage space in cab compared to DAF for handwipes etc etc
