I really enjoyed this lesson, very instructive and fun. It’s very interesting how the word “heart” is used figuratively in a wide range of expressions. We got similar usages of “heart” in Aramaic as well. The more I study Hebrew the more I am amazed by how much these two languages have in common. Thank you!

Wow!!! The Hebrew meaning of לבו gave me a new perspective. Did not pay attentions can also mean did not put your heart. When one fails to give their full attention to another person, it suggests that their focus/heart is elsewhere, such as on electronic devices, rather than on their loved ones.

Beth, Avram and team, your lessons are fun and you make it so understandable for people like me who are trying to learn hebrew for the very 1st time, without any guidance from any other source. Whatever little I have learnt is from your lessons thus far and its so motivating to learn more. Heartfelt thanks for your talent and effort. You are such a blessing.

I laughed so hard at 0:42 -- I wasn't expecting this (very familiar to me) verse! I laughed a lot of other places too... Never stop being hilarious, guys! It's a great way to make the idioms stick, too 😊

Congratulations Beth and Andrew! Your methodology is not only perfectly progressive and efficient, but also fun and keeps our attention incredibly. It keeps our hearts attentive, as an ancient Israelite would say it. Thank you wholeheartedly.

It's the feminine singular imperative of the verb נשׂא, so "lift up!" to a woman or girl.
