I have truly seen the word of God bring transformation to my family. Last year I was trying to evangelize to my family and I faced a lot of rejection, so I just started to share the word of God every single day as I prayed for them, we started having Bible study weekly and I was so shocked when my family started, one by one, receiving salvation, am glad to share that 3 of my sisters gave their lives to Christ. And I know it wasn't because of me but because of the transforming work of the word of God. All glory to God.

coming out of the new age spirituality and being in a perpetual self- help cycle for years, this study on Hebrews, and previously Galatians were so beautiful. There is NOTHING I can do myself, I finally have rest and for the first time in my life I genuinely feel at peace. Thank you Lord

After 54 years on this planet, playing many games on steam and trying to to entertain my self, not in a sinful way, I always find listening and studying the word of God the most awesome thing to do. It truly fulfill that emptiness that nothing else can fill, nothing can fill it. So many people that have everything that cannot find fulfillment in this world......only the Word gives it....

Absolutely!! The WORD OF GOD REVEALS THE TRUTH OF HOW EVIL IM.Condemns me everytime I understand it through your sermons pastor Paul.Thanks.
@ambersimerly18034 жыл бұрын
Condemnation does not from the Lord for those who have decided to follow Jesus. His Word convicts and does so gently through the Holy Spirit. The enemy condemns to keep you in bondage through lies~♡

Isn't it exciting how His Word reveals evil?! Funny how that is and it's good for us~♡

"You do know that a dentist chair is a place of judgement?" Had a dentist ask me the flossing question, and my answer was the honest one, "Well, not really." His response was, "Well, tell you what. Just floss the teeth you want to keep and forget the rest!"

I think I struggle with legalism because in the very sermon I should be set free from bondage I keep hearing how scripture is a 2 edged sword. Dividing good from evil. How then can we be free and still have the instruction manual that tells us what to do and what not to do. I accept that my works don't gain my salvation but the law is still good and it is how we know what sin is. So how can you say, "each one should be convinced in his own heart" about which day to worship and then say, "your heart is deceitful and you will not find answers there." Are the answers in our heart or in the scriptures?

Hi from the Netherlands, Joshua! I came across this video while searching for Steve Lawson's video about Hebrews 4:12. Just read your comment and wanted to encourage you: This morning in my Quiet Time (praying and Bible reading) the Lord brought me to John 7:4-25: "my brothers and sisters, you also died to the law through the body of Christ, that you might belong to another, to him who was raised from the dead, in order that we might bear fruit for God. 5 For when we were in the realm of the flesh,[a] the sinful passions aroused by the law were at work in us, so that we bore fruit for death. 6 But now, by dying to what once bound us, we have been released from the law so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit, and not in the old way of the written code. The Law and Sin 7 What shall we say, then? Is the law sinful? Certainly not! Nevertheless, I would not have known what sin was had it not been for the law. For I would not have known what coveting really was if the law had not said, “You shall not covet.”[b] 8 But sin, seizing the opportunity afforded by the commandment, produced in me every kind of coveting. For apart from the law, sin was dead. 9 Once I was alive apart from the law; but when the commandment came, sin sprang to life and I died. 10 I found that the very commandment that was intended to bring life actually brought death. 11 For sin, seizing the opportunity afforded by the commandment, deceived me, and through the commandment put me to death. 12 So then, the law is holy, and the commandment is holy, righteous and good. 13 Did that which is good, then, become death to me? By no means! Nevertheless, in order that sin might be recognized as sin, it used what is good to bring about my death, so that through the commandment sin might become utterly sinful. 14 We know that the law is spiritual; but I am unspiritual, sold as a slave to sin. 15 I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. 16 And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. 17 As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. 18 For I know that good itself does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful nature.[c] For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. 19 For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do-this I keep on doing. 20 Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it. 21 So I find this law at work: Although I want to do good, evil is right there with me. 22 For in my inner being I delight in God’s law; 23 but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within me. 24 What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death? 25 Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God’s law, but in my sinful nature[d] a slave to the law of sin." Our nature in sinful and our flesh, the world and the devil will always make us want to do things that wages war against the Spirit. Stay in the Word, stay in prayer and look for biblical accountability from born again brothers. 📖 Praying for you from the Netherlands! 🙌🏽 "I have told you these things so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take courage; I have overcome the world!”" ~ Jesus in 16:33 👑 Warm regards, Fienie 🌸

The word of God instructs us for the best path and choices to make. We still have the choice whether to follow them. The Bible says the human heart is deceitfully wicked (and self centered) The word also says we cannot change ourselves for the better or obtain any salvation without first realizing our sinful state, believing, repenting, accepting Christ's sacrifice for us and then receiving God's Holy Spirit, which then comes to help, guide and work within us to assist us in making righteous choices. When we study the Word and diligently and truly seek the truth...it is the Holy Spirit who helps affirm to us what is right, true and correct...between truth and lies. God himself is the one who supplies you with the attributes you need. You cannot change without him. His "still small voice" within. It is always your choice whether you decide to listen and follow.
