I completely agree with what you said about reading the holy word yourself and see what it says to you before listening to someone else's sermon. God speaks to you directly this way.

It’s like riding a bicycle up hill, if you’re not going up hill, you are going backwards. My I always be making progress in my walk with Christ.

Pastor Steve, I have taken all the steps like professing my faith, being baptized, and praying. I am trying to come back to His word daily with devotionals, reading a chapter from the Bible daily and then following up with tutorials to have a better understanding. I do my best to live faithfully correct. But how do I know without a doubt I'm saved?

I’m not a pastor my friend, but there are a few verses in the Bible which talk about these so called “steps” to being saved.

Thank you, Friend. I know of the verses and I'm truly doing my best. I honestly think my doubt sometimes comes from Satan himself. I just need to remember to shake that demon off from planting the seed of doubt and turn to the one who gives us eternal life of living water.

To be very honest the first step to being saved should be accepting Jesus and your lord and personal savior, Accepting that old things have died with the cross and you’re a new creature in Christ. As for the doubt it’s definitely from the devil because you’re doing something right! And he knows that heaven rejoices over your salvation, so keep pushing and keep seeking for intimacy with God! God bless you❤

I was not expecting you to skip over the first 10 verses. Is there a reason why?
