I didn't think I was going to sit through an entire hour of this video, but by the time I realized how long it had been, it was almost over! Great video, it was very enjoyable and educational.
In '84 I was at the Wisconsin State Fair with my mother and sister and I found a ten dollar bill on the ground. We stopped at Toys 'R' Us on the way home and I used it to buy Battle Armor He-Man and Skeletor. One of my fondest childhood memories...

I remember that smell. I got my first He-Man when I was about 5 - I was just sitting around bored, and mum said 'I've got a gift someone bought you, and I didn't think it was suitable, but I might as well give it to you' and gave me an original He-Man she had stashed in her sewing cupboard. For the next few years whenever she left I'd often search through that cupboard hoping there were more hidden MOTU toys (there weren't).

Born in '81, grew up playing with He-Man, Star Wars, Thundercats, Lego, Super Naturals (the old hologram figures), Rock Lords and tons of miscellaneous toy soldiers. I'm in my 40s now. I miss the hell out of being a kid with nothing but happy memories, excitement & growing up in a far simpler, family-orientated time. Michael Jackson and George Michael on the radio, MTV played music and we were party to global events like the Berlin Wall, the Falklands War and the closing of the Cold War. Lifestyles were a lot more affordable then and it seemed hardwork was rewarded. I know many of us feel the same, and these figures really evoke a sense of the wonder of Christmas, the smell of the plastic and tons of shredded packaging, the excitement of coming downstairs on Christmas morning. It was great being a kid and it makes me want to show my future kids what a happy childhood looks like. Thanks for these videos mate, was really nostalgic seeing some of these figures again.

Born in '77 and this is the most nostalgic video I have ever seen. So many figures that I had forgotten about. This video made me actually remember the feel and even the smell of these figures. Reminded me of trips on the weekend to Keys & Tons o' Toys with my mom...trips to K-Mart with my grandma. Oh the memories came flooding back, which means they were never really gone...and that's a whole other interesting topic on its own. Also realized that I'm apparently still kinda salty about a school friend removing the "holographic" sticker from Cy-Clone's chest. Thank you for this video. Thank you very, very much.

What a great travel to the past! I had 55 out of the 68 figures, plus Castle Grayskull, Snake Mountain, Fright Zone, Battle Cat, Panthor, Stridor and a lot of other stuff. Great memories. 😊 I still remember the smell of Moss Man and Stinkor, and the sound of Rattlor's neck expanding. Here in Germany, they sold a "starter pack" with the original He-Man and Skeletor plus a cassette wich explained the origins of the MotU. I was 6 or 7 as I saw this pack in a store, and all of a sudden everything else became unimportant. All I could think of, was getting these figures! 😅 I robbed the piggy bank, and bought it a few days later. The beginning of a passion. I had the toys, I watched the animated series (on VHS, rented at the local video store) and I collected the radio play cassette series. All of this is such a big part of my childhood. I regret, that I later sold everything on a flea market. 😢

Too bad you didn’t take to Attack-Track. By far my favorite vehicle in all MOTU! My original is so beat-up from pure playtime (yeah, lost the battery cover), but found a NM, 100% complete and working with zero sticker wear on EBay for under $20Us, shipped! Did you ever take yours outdoors to the sandbox, pavement, gravel, low-slopes hills and be mesmerized as it’s ingenious tracks 1. Conquered 90% of whatever was in its way, 2. Crushed all other battery powered vehicles with the possible exception of the GI Joe MOBAT tank (w/controller and could go all 4 directions (no “turn in-reverse” garbage from what I know) and operate the turret/lights & sounds… never seen one, but that’s tough to beat! Still, design, color killer tread mechanics, detailed stickers and typically, thanks to the pointy front, could slam into walls or table legs, brute-force adjust course and keep barreling over 3.75” Joe’s all day. I’ll give ya a pass; you’re right the vintage Ram-Man never really fit the line; just hollow with all the smarts of a boxer, US Football player and a Millennial atheist combined.

I never thought Man-E-Faces had orange skin, it looked like a space suit to me. I didn't like the Ram Man figure. Hated how his limbs didn't really articulate... he lacked the realistic look of the other figures. Just my 2 cents :)

Yep, for years I thought he was from a different toy line that they used for MOTU, but come to find out he was specifically designed for MOTU.

Great video. The first few years were the best, all the figures were awesome, and Grayskull is perfect. But even as a kid around '85 I remember thinking some of them were becoming too silly and I started to lose interest. I wasn't as into some of the Horde figures; stuff like Mantenna, Multi Bot, and Modulok just didn't feel like MOTU to me, so by '86 I was officially out. I still appreciate the entire line, it's cool looking back on the whole thing, but it's those first few waves that hold a special place in my heart. I have all of the first three years of figures of figures in a display case, and they look great. It also reminds me of such great times with my family, and that great 80's vibe that will never be replicated. Good times, awesome toys.

OMG I had Crocobite when I was about 4. I still remember losing it in the front yard. Had no idea it was part of the He-Man line. Makes sense though since that was my favorite as a kid. It looks exactly like it did in my head all these years later. Great video He-Bro!!

Nice informative video. I already considered myself a veteran in action figure collecting at age 8, which is when I got a good bunch of MOTU figures from a friend who traded them to all for my Toxie and Headbanger figures from the Toxic Crusaders line of toys. It was a good deal, even Battle Cat and Panthor were included. I liked the simplicity of the MOTU toys, and it kinda blew my mind that I suddenly had He-Man characters as toys (back then I didn't know that they had been THE most legendary action figure series, as I was born after their prime). I'm currently re-watching Season 2 of the Filmation series, and one of the interesting things is to keep an eye on which toys are "getting a push" and which aren't. Out of the 1984 figures, they definitely use Whiplash the most. It's kinda funny how faithfully they represent the Dragon Walker in the show, it absolutely looks like a toy in its animated form as well. So, Icer was never an actual figure? I wonder if Mattel had him planned and cancelled, as there is an episode in the show with him as the main villain.

Thanks for the comment, yes, it's fun to go back and watch the cartoon and see how they put the toys in. There were many Filmation characters that never made it into a toy form.

Man did I use that castle grey skull in a lot of Gi joe adventures. I stuck my rabbit stuffed animal in there and used it as a boat after watching watership down. Also when he man was cool I know I played with those toys a lot as well. I also remember going over to friends houses and they had different toys that I didnt have. Watching this video just transported me back to the memories of my friends who had the specific toys at their house.

I have 4 of the Meteorb figures but I didn't get them as MOTU figures. In Australia back then, The Good Egg egg company had them as promotional mail away toys. It wasn't until fairly recently that I learned they were actually MOTU. I love them.

That is so F'n awesome. My mom died in 1983 when I was five. Later on that day? All my extended family were there for me and my older brother. My Uncle came to see us with a bag from Target and gave me it. In that bag was "Trap-Jaw" and "He-man". And being at that age? Those Masters of the Universe toys was my escape and this was before the Filmation cartoon. And no other toy line came close.

@@HeBroTV My grandparents raised us after my mother died. And we grew up spoiled. Because we had no mom, we got anything we wanted. But we had to do good in school. I was so proud of my collection. Had most of figures, vehicles, Greyskull and Snake mountain. My friends were jealous. Then in 1986 my religious Grandma saw televangelist Jimmy Swaggert live. And he condemned the Masters of the Universe toyline as Satanic. And she threw away my whole collection. LOL. Another childhood trauma. LOL I can laugh now. Because I miss and love my grandma.
