The HK45 and HK45C are cheaper because they are produced in the US. The USPs are still produced in Germany. All are great pistols!

Great vid! I have the HK45 full size. I like it a lot. Being a lefty like myself, does the button on the slide release on the right side bother you when you put your support thumb on it? Also, how do you feel about that channel under the trigger? Isn't it annoying? I think so.

Thanks for the compliments. I don't seem to notice the slide release bothering my support hand. I've read about the groove in the bottom of the trigger guard under the trigger being bothersome on the HK45, the HK45C does not have that feature, at least mine doesn't.

How is the manual of arms remotely the same as a 1911? Even cocked & locked the trigger wouldn't be anywhere close to a 1911 (which has no take up).

"Manual of arms" is a set of instuction for operation. The v1 hk is very similar if not the same as the 1911 if you disregard the decocker. That is my point.

@@f8green187 I'm a 1911 guy... sweeping off the safety and maintaining pressure down on it to help mitigate recoil is quite a common practice. Doing that on the HK is awkward and potentially can de-cock the pistol. And there's no grip safety, so the manual of arms is not all that similar.

What your describing is more of an ergonomics issue. I shall defer to you though.

Great review sir! This was my first slide action pistol I ever bought and like you, when I’m at home this is usually the one I keep close to me🫡👍
