Is that a different bow hold than usual?

Gail V Crawford not as far as I’m aware. Just the bow hold I was taught. Everyone holds it slightly differently but this way is comfortable for me.

I hold a bow the same way. It's like choking up on a baseball bat. Changes the balance of the bow so it's not so tip heavy
