TL;DW for people coming from PF Probably easiest to watch the first 45s for the positions I use for spreads/pairs. No set strat for alarm pheromones because none of them work very well (That includes Mario Kart). 2nd beat: I have 1s stacked mid and 0s stacked S doing a CW loop. TH - NW, DPS - SE prio for towers. Poison sting: TH - NW, DPS - SE for first drop, then just follow the bees CW or CCW. 3rd beat: Defamations out wherever you did the last dodge Rotten Heart: Standard clockspots Not a lot you can change up in this fight, so hopefully your PF experience will be fairly consistent (minus people eating hearts left and right).

Best strat we found for Alarm Pheromones was Tanks and Melees against the north wall, Ranged as south as possible, and then slowly moving around clockwise and stepping inward when needed. Cuts down on dodges by nearly half.
@cainamaciel5 ай бұрын
That strat seems good since the bees aims players, its a 50%-50%... but we will see how it goes.

Progged this in PF yesterday, we found it more consistent for alarm pheromones to start north (everyone) and then rotate clockwise as they went off.

This is much like the yukizuri guide that is at least common to see in Light DC. I guess the one thing is yukizuri doesn't have the adjustment for Healers with Melee for uptime and the pheromone 2 is a bit different. but a lot of Light DC groups I have joined all say yukizuri with H2 at C which is basically what you have done here. Very good guide nonetheless

I don't really comment much, and I didn't know you were struggling with your motivation for guides so I just wanted to say something. As an ARR player and raider since, I just want to thank you for the guides you put out. I have seen partyfinder become much more consistent with mechanics and what strats to use since you've become more popular. I appreciate how much you do bring the community together to >mostly< agree on things. Even if someone finds "a better way", you definitely helped pave that way. Appreciate you and don't lose heart.

Hector, your guides helped me to have the confidence to go into PF for learning and clears and reclears when I saw your strats in the PF. Don't underestimate how much you've helped the raiding community. It's been so much easier to PF with your guides providing a basis for groups.

They've helped my whole static clear all the Pandaemonium raids (our first savages!), extreme trails, and unreal trials, and we were so happy to see you back this tier (and with the extreme trials too). At times, we've modified strats that you suggest to work better for us, but I would never consider that evidence against your guides, as we all nonetheless benefit from your clarity of communication and can often only modify things because you really help us understand how the mechanics work. If you need a break, take care of yourself, but there are at least 8 people (and judging by these comments, a whole lot more) who will always be thankful for the work you put into these.

This ensures that all partners are melee/ranged pairs since H2 will take south/C clock and pair with M2. That way, OT will always position in yellow quadrant and H2 always on blue quadrant for all drops/spreads. OT will also be closer to NE for the split tank buster at all times Less thinking as well when you get to defams on beat 3 as OT and H2 will still be on their color quadrants for the debuff and the tower

I haven't cleared but just a few things I noticed from some prog up to 3rd beat 1st beat - if you have the members with 2 hearts stack up on D, for the slow moving hearts mechanic. It will finish them around A when the stack marker appears on one of them. and that area seems to be consistently free of most clutter at that point (may be the same for b > c as well. not sure if it's mirrored). Pheromones - What worked for me (very small sample size) was to keep everyone in the middle initially for one or two lines to show, and then mario kart from the opposite area that just got closed off. A couple of them can get somewhat close but it seems moderately consistent . . . Though I was dying to boss autos' as my healers were very occupied with movement. May end up using hallowed there just for simplicity on healers time.

Hey Hector, I just wanted to say that what you are doing is amazing in itself. It doesn't matter if "better" strats come out overtime, that's just the nature of how things are. Asking someone to come up with the best strats day one is an impossible thing to ask for. What you're doing is better than that, at least for me and others I would assume. Learning the core mechanics is much more important than strats, and I always find myself watching your vids because they explain them in easier terms that helps me to understand. Once I understand that, it's very easy to simply adapt to other strats. Keep doin what you do best man!

@stellarstar6553 The reason people put H2 south is so that they have a natural rotation to their quickmarch spot and its one less back and forth for them having OT E. This will allow the supports rotate CCW will naturally put all the supports in the correct spot rather than having the OT and H2 move back and forth. There isnt a reason NOT to put the OT E and H2 south. This also helps in later phases so they dont turned around so much since they have so much to do. And to your argument - this isnt M1. People ARE capable of learning new spots. There have been many fights where generic clock spots aren't used.

Hello Hector, I have a slight issue with pf strats not many notice. I recommend East healer and offtanks swap clocks spots to avoid multiple party wipes, due to color pairs off tanks take south clock and end up south with another melee in drop and spread adding 5 total on that half, healers always try to take SE tower on beat, realize too late and can't adjust fast enough, if they swapped clock spots all of this can be avoided.

My only Critique is having the OT in N/E for pairs/spreads then S for clocks. these strats put to much movement and inconsistency on the OT. I find it easier for OT to be S/SE or SW for pairs while still having NE for the Spread/beeline combo.

Good guide though what my group does is for rotten hearts, is the OT stays at their partner clock (could be East or NorthEast) while H2 stays South with M2. This keeps the realtive positions of everyone the same as there is literally no reason for the OT to come to South position at all for the last mechanic when for all the prior mechanics they've been in the yellow quadrant.
