Exactly the same way as the other sectors, if they undertake hedges themselves. When they are on the other side - e.g. issuing hedging instruments for someone else, then it's not hedge accounting for the issuers. It's simply another financial instrument (some derivative in most cases, accounted at FVTPL).

Husain Mohtashim Hi Husain, well, hedge accounting in IFRS 9 was introduced in the IFRS 9 amendment in November 2013, so yes, the rules are in practice.
