HEDGE TRIMMER Maintenance YOU MUST DO

Going over the basics of servicing and sharpening Hedge Trimmer blades and greasing the gearbox. This is all part of general hedge trimmer maintenance and should not be neglected. This is the Makita DUH754SZ single sided 18v battery hedge trimmer. These same principles can be used on any brand of hedge trimmer.

Used the drenel and it worked a charm also had the dremel versa which was handy with scrubbing attachment to clean all the gunk off

What would you say are the pros and cons of a single-sided trimmer compared to a double-sided machine. Can't make my mind up on which type to buy -- can you do it for me please?

For me singles are more comfortable to use and less fatigue, also im more accurate and faster with them, downsides they only cut one way which can be annoying on certain jobs. They are more suited to hedges as opposed to shaped shrubs where the double would be better. Its all personal preference and what type of work you do.
