That's a legitimate wild animal that should be left in the wild unless the circumstances were that it had to be raised by humans and couldn't be released back into the wild but let's be honest, that's probably not the case. Especially recently people are "adopting" all types of wild animals that should remain in the wild just for views and money.

You forgot one there's a blue one called (soniccas chillydogis) or "sonic" for short, he has group of friends A red Encidana, a fox, another hedgehog but black with red markings and others. They go on adventures finding different colored emeralds (blue red green etc) the blue hedgehog hates water the black hedgehog hates the fox. OH and i forgot another hedgehog she's pink.

My friend had a hedgehog and there was one problem after another. He was an adult and gave it good care, but it still got stressed and died after 2 years. He's not the only one who's had problems with hedgehogs as pets! DID YOU KNOW, hedgehogs ONLY LIVE A FEW YEARS IN CAPTIVITY AND THEY CAN GET SICK VERY EASILY IF ALL THEIR NEEDS ARE NOT MET! They are also prone to getting tumors and health issues from stress, lack of exercise or improper care. It's heartbreaking to watch them get sick and die. 💔 They are nocturnal, so they need time to sleep during the day, but will be up all night on their exercise wheel or rummaging around their their enclosure. They require a very large enclosure with proper heating and lighting requirements 💲💲💲that has a wheel so they can exercise every night! HEDGEHOGS ARE NOT A TOY, THEY ARE A LIVING CREATURE that requires a lot of maintenance and a lot of time and patience to socialize and exercise EVERYDAY! They also require " REGULAR VET CHECKUPS" to keep them healthy, NOT JUST WHEN THEY'RE SICK! SO ASK YOURSELF.... -DO YOU REALLY HAVE THE TIME? -DO YOU REALLY HAVE THE PATIENCE? -DO YOU REALLY HAVE THE MONEY? -ARE YOU WILLING TO PUT IN THE RESEARCH? I will warn you, they are prone to certain cancers. The likelihood of a hedgehog developing cancer or tumors is high. So you have to be prepared both financially and emotionally for it. Making sure there is a vet that can treat a hedgehog in your area is absolutely essential, so make sure you research this before getting one. Also make sure to do your due diligence by getting important information on the breeders in your area. Some breeders are lazy and end up inbreeding them, which can leave you with a hedgehog that has genetic diseases like wobbly hedgehog syndrome. Responsible breeders will work with other breeders across states to make sure this doesn’t happen, and will take health history into account before breeding. This will give you the best possible chance to have a happy healthy long living hedgehog. Giving them good food, a calm clean environment, and lots of exercise will go a long way too!
