This video is pure gold, by far the most educational content for the average up and coming investor; very efficiently structured and digestible information. Also, the fact that you showed us part of your portfolio performance in the previous two videos really consolidates your position as a genuine and knowledgeable investor. To my knowledge there are no other youtube investor "gurus" that disclose their portfolio data, which to me is a huge red flag; even Mark Tilbury hasn't shown us his numbers. Thank you for the great content and keep it up!

I think not even that. It’s enough to put money for 4-5 years of your average spending in bonds. If you need it in a crisis, it’s there, if you don’t need it, but cheap stocks.

I agree 100%, When your old and have a good amount of money I would put half of it in a safe dividend portfolio to pay for retirement and the other half in all weather portfolio to just slightly beat inflation.

Be as aggressive as your own risk tolerance and not more. I’m pretty aggressive until age 62, then dial it way back after I’ve built up a big pot over time. Invest aggressively and wisely. Never sell. You’ll look smart and hopefully retire comfortably. Good luck to all!

Actually, that's one of your best videos Adam. In principle, these are the key lessons to remember and avoid the fear of investing. I'm already doing the VMI course, albeit, too slowly with daily duties getting in the way, but you are the only reliable voice I've come across in the last 10 years since I started my interest in researching various people to learn from. Certainly, property in the UK is no longer a wise investment and the gain is very little. Many thanks.

The opposite is also true.. this makes no sense and will not work for everyone.. you need to constantly keep monitoring each and everything, keep rebalancing and tinkering with the portfolio. this is what they want you to do and make a mess out of it. Not everyone can understand the dynamics and take corrective actions all the time. if that was possible we can all start our own hedge fund business and quit our jobs. Ridiculous!

I have a better strategy. During a bear market throw everything into cash. During Bull market invest in the SPY. Well duh!! Of course you have to nail the starting points for each, but you can create a strategy to ramp up over 2-3 months or whatever time frame to nail the turning point once you get the market signals. You may not nail the exact time, but you will get pretty close!! Easy Peasy!!!
