@Ezugo Obuekwe I beg to differ. You probably think that a song is a piece of music in which they sing. If this is not the case, please ignore the rest of this comment and explain what you mean. I don't know the true definition of "a song". But language is an ever changing process and the definition of a word changes by the way people use said word. For instance, the word "retarded" means something along the lines of "delayed" or "slow". It was used to describe someone with (usually) autism who was slow to react or needed a lot of time to think about something. This pretty much describes me. But it started to get used as an insult and people forgot its true meaning. And sometimes a word gets used incorrectly while the old meaning still sticks around. This can give a word two meanings depending on the context. For example the word "server". It comes from "to serve", but it is usually used in the context of computers. A song might originally refer to a piece of music in which they sing. But even an instrumental track (track is also one of those words with a double meaning) is often called a song. Probably because it is shorter and people understand what we mean. I also don't see a real reason to use different words for music with or without lyrics. Therefore I don't think I'll stop using the word for music like this. Unless, of course, you can give me valid arguments as to why I shouldn't. (This honestly isn't intended to sound passive aggressive. I just don't know how to word it differently..) I just did some research and found the definition of a song: "a short poem or other set of words set to music or meant to be sung." In other words, you are completely right. I still believe its official meaning should be changed though. But that's why discussions like these are important ^^ (btw, English is my second language. It's mostly self-taught through exposure from games and the internet. My first language is Dutch.)

My playlist consist of both music with and without lyrics. Maybe we should use "track" as an ambiguous term for when it doesn't matter. But I don't mind using "song" either.

When scoring the first movie the composer made themes for various people, places, and even themes for different elements of the movie, like a mischief theme or a family them, and this was Hedwig’s theme. When the composer changed after the second or third movie some of that stuff was scrapped, except for Hedwig’s theme, so Hedwig’s theme is the only song that appears in every movie which is why people think it’s the Harry Potter theme when actually it’s his owl’s.

Carlos Rodriguez You could always try using a tuner to test what key they are in first in case when you bend them the tune changes. I’m not a music expert, so I don’t know if bending necessarily changes the pitch like other instruments.

TheNani680 these are called chromatic kalimbas. If you google them you can find them.
