In one way I cannot believe Lucy is not on everyone's playlist, because she deserves to be a WORLDWISE STAR. On the other hand I hope she never changes from the WONDERFUL lass she is now. Lucy must not be contaminated by this PLASTIC WORLD we live in at this present time . Having followed her from the Voice Kids, in all my 82 years I have never heard anyone who can sing covers like she can. Thanks for your great reaction.

Hi Heemz...Thank you for this great reactio.. At this point where I have now followed Lucy for about 4 years, I have to say that in my humble opinion, Lucy is by far the best vocalist in the world. Yes, there are others that are good and even excellent, but no-one compares to Lucy. She is the Goddess of Song. I am 75 years old and I have had many favorites in my lifetime, but Lucy is something very special. Someone like Lucy comes around once in a lifetime.

Heemz , thank you for supporting Lucy Thomas. So many have said how she moves the listener when she sings. I will go a step further. No one and I mean no singer now or in the past, can move you like Lucy Thomas! Her face her eyes, her voice, her soul, takes you on an emotional journey like no other! This song gives you the consequences of making poor decisions in your life without the possibility of repairing the damage. Most of her songs uplift and help to heal you. Quite extraordinary!

Hello Heemz, once again thank you for reacting to Lucy singing " I Dreamed A Dream " I have listened to Lucy singing her cover a few times now & every time I hear Lucy singing this version it gives me so many chills, there are no tricks no special runs to her cover, it is sung as it should be, it is just so beautifully sung by Lucy. First time i heard this rendition i thought how good it was but it didn't give me chills like i expected it too!,then i consentrated more on the performance next time around!,& now it has affected me quite differently,i think it was because it came over origionally as quite understated compared with some other covers!,Lucy certainly has a magic touch that takes her beyond the norm!, simply put she is in a class of her own!.😊

Heemz, thank you for reacting to this powerful, sad, emotionally draining rendition of a classic of musical theatre, Even though I have now heard this video several tens of times, I still well up with tears in my eyes as Lucy makes me feel the pathos that the song is about. Lucy does more than just sing well, she emotes better than anyone whom I have ever heard. No body does it as well. From what I learned from Juliet Lyons on her channel, Your Online Singing Coach, the notes held for a long time without vibrato adds greatly to the feelings that we have of sadness. Lucy does that purposefully with great impact. Those are skills far beyond her current age of 20! Lucy seems to get better with each song released. Lucy is phenomenal! She is simply the best - ever.

@@johncollins392 I am not yet too old to learn. Juliet Lyons made that observation and it is clear that she was correct. I did not know the appropriate protocol as to whether to attribute it to her. Never have I seen an attribution before. I have no problem acknowledging her as to teaching that to me.

Thanks Heemz for supporting Lucy. Tell you a secret? You can't go wrong with Lucy. She has no bad songs, just pick one. Can't choose? Do Run -Snow Patrol. She covered it at 10y in B/W and 15y in color. Why not do both in 1 session to show the progress. Talking about runnig, she also covered Run To You by Whitney H. She talks to you after the song. Enjoy.

You all are going to jump down my throat. 1st off it it very nice and she is and excellent singer. The producer on the other hand...there are parts that you can literally hear the autotune. I'd prefer a raw "live" version warts and all. Again...don't hunt me down. She is an excellent singer.

Lucy's work is not Autotuned, so I suspect you are complaining about pitch correction - and this is a perceived 'enhancement' applied to the vast majority of vocal studio recordings these days! Have you got a box of tricks to 'prove' this, or have you just got super sensitive hearing? Either way, please let me have time stamps for the instances of pitch correction you think you have detected, because my insensitive ears do not hear it!

I've heard Lucy sing this twice live. At her concert in Tokyo two weeks ago. Once during the concert and once in the sound check before the concert to an empty venue. I was able to hear that because I produced the event. No warts to be heard. I will say I thought she was better live than in the studio version. Lucy is the best I've ever heard. She is also a wonderful young lady who is utterly charming and a lot of fun to be around.

Your misconception of Autotrune is understandable. Engineers use Autotune on the whole piece -correcting ANY note that doesn't precisely hit the. 440 standard tuning used for all instruments. "Pitch Correction" on the other hand, corrects individual notes manually by an engineer. With the exception of reverb, this young ladies voice in my opinion is void of any enhancement--it's too well trained.
