I don't get why when you make a box plot from a list you don't include the median when working out the upper and lower quartile but when you're using a graph to work it out you just halve the median?? someone pls help

+cait rose It's because when you have a graph you have the whole range, but when you use the box plot you just have the minimum and maximum...hope that makes sense, but I dont think that you will really need it for the exam:)
