I have been having so many issues with GOAT. they sent me a very scratched up pair of Jordan 1 high 85 Blavk & Whites. They charged me to return them and then only gave me store credit. Then I purchased the Nike Dunk SB Bubbles, and they have been canceling my orders repeatedly . Now, I had to get a refund for my Jordan 4 Military Blacks. They kept searching for replacements and then a used pair, and then the seller didn't want to ship it, so I got another refund. If you see what they have done to me in a matter of 2 months, it is crazy. They make Stock X look good at this point. I purchased 6 pairs in 2 months because I wanted to avoid Stock X... I suggest doing business with eBay because at least you can see what you're buying.

Economy, resellers killed new people’s interest, and overall the sneaker hype has died down. They’re like 8 different colors of dunk lows at the mall foully stocked. People may just be tired of looking at them and no one has money. Hypes down on all sneaker models.

This is not about hype. This is about a "correction" in the sneaker market. It happens every year in the Stock Market. Sneakers hit an all-time high in the market b/c of events: The Last Dance, Pandemic, Trends, etc. Eventually, what goes up, must come down. When stocks market hit highs & Lows, ppl pick a time when to buy. The price is not the same. It has a starting price and where it goes depends on the market. The problem with Jordan and Nike is they view the market as going in one direction: "Upward", while other brands have adjusted. Jordan and Nike has changed their pricing every 2yrs....while brands like Asics, NB, Adidas may do it once every 5yrs. Look how Adidas killed Kanye....when the price was $200, it was at a breaking point, but ppl still bought...when it got to $230, everything just sat... What Nike and Jordan should do is correct the pricing. If you know you can't move sneakers at $180, $175, $210, etc., then change the price. By AJ1s going to $100-120, the market is telling them, we're not paying more for this shoe.

The Latte’s will sell out, the midnight navy’s will sell out, the UNC’s (reverse obsidians) will be a slow sellout the black toes will sellout, & the Blue jean will sell out slowly. The mocha lows will sellout immediately, the Travis lows will sellout immediately. And the olive 1s will sellout. We’re just tired of unnecessary colors that don’t match anything and also colors that are over done. Jordan needs to retire burgundy from all sneakers 😂😂😂. AMM made it saturated and yellow. 🙃

The reason the hype is dead is because Nike is over saturating the market with mediocre Jordan's. Also, the colorways are less than creative with the intention to make a quick buck while consumers aren't satisfied with what's being released. I think Nike is well aware of less consumer spending (i.e. Jordan's that are sitting on shelves, or resellers selling them cheaper than retail before they drop), and is the reason why they chose to hold back on projected releases that were supposed to come out this year. Just my opinion.

I just feel that ppl are tired of buying unconformable 40yo sneakers on the regular and are now buying lighter modern tech sneakers such as OnCloud. Nike has made millions with retros but Unfortunately thats what they are known for now. Also think they struggle selling newer models because other brands are ahead of them in that field but not to worry NB are heading down that road aswell.

Meaning most releases would sit and the interest in the sneaker market had dropped off. With the rise of Yeezy and Ultra Boost, every shoe brand started to market their products around comfort and lifestyle wear. Jordan Brand started to pick up steam again in late 2015 to early 2016. Even then, coveted releases would still sit. In 2020, is the year where massive consumer influx set in, and we saw everything sell out. Half of the AJ1s and Dunks that released during that time would’ve sat 2015-2019. Again, we also saw the same sort of influx in 2011 to 2013 where everything would sell out. Everyone who’s been around long enough seen this coming a mile away. By 2027-29, there will be another drastic boom in the market where everything sells out again. Inflation, fashion trends, etc. leads to a massive drop in market interest.

No matter how big of a loss (hundreds of thousands even millions) the reselling community takes, it aint shit to a company like Nike, because at the end of the day it costs nike about 20-28 dollars a pair of shoes. It doesn’t matter what the aftermarket vs retail price is.. THEY STILL GET PAID @ a good profit. So yes, Nike doesn’t care about “devaluing” their own product, cause in the end, they still make their money regardless of them going to the outlets or going on sale. The reseller community is fucked and I’m excited for it. I want to be able to walk into any retail store pick out a pair of AJ1s and pay retail or under retail no problem because the market is so saturated with them just like for example some grandpa Air Monarchs
