The ATF make up rules with their sole purpose being to make as much money as possible through the NFA Tax Stamp system. There were 1,373,305 approved suppressors by the ATF in 2024, which is higher than we've ever seen. The ATF and our government want to continue to label suppressors as firearms for as long as humanly possible to continue to profit. So, if there were 1,373,305 suppressors approved and you times that number to each NFA $200 taxed item, (1,373,305 X $200 Stamp = $274,661,00.00). Round that up to make things easy here, and we've got an ATF organization that made $275 Million Dollars in 2024. That is insane money. Plus, with the ATF's new computer approval system, making approvals so much easier and faster, they almost don't have to do anything. So, by keeping suppressors classified as firearms, they are able to make stupid amounts of money. Now, add in SBR's, fully automatic guns, and other laws that the ATF just makes up that they deem require more items to have $200 tax stamps, and you've got an agency who is blatantly robbing the American people. It's a god awful regulatory system with an agency designed to bend our 2nd Amendment laws for the purpose of profit and it needs to stop. It's about money and everybody knows it.

Yes, tobacco crimes are brutal. Most leave small holes in the upholstery of my car seats and one even stopped me from getting my security deposit back from an apartment I rented in college because of the violence that tobacco did to the carpet. It was a high capacity tobacco product that was brought in by a hooligan that showed up unannounced to my keg party. Tobacco crimes ran rampant around college communities in the late 80’s the likes of which required ash trays to be included in car doors, Wendy’s tables, and even on airplanes. It was pure mayhem.

The should force the Canadian government to allow Canadians to import guns and parts as they used to be able to do. Currently the gun lobby and the anti export people in the US, make it very difficult to get stuff out of the US. This stuff is all sold in the Canada, we aren't talking about items Canada has banned, though that is also protectionist. But stuff like replacement barrels or even springs, scopes During the war on terror the US did not want stuff getting into enemy hands that might help them fight the US. But they offered Canada an exemption, but the Canadian government wouldn't take it. But as I say, it was all stuff that you can buy in Canada, the government just screws US businesses with huge non tarrif barriers.
