Just one note: don't forget to check and adjust the ink feed roller by traditional way.

Very cool. I run an old CD 102, and these are adjustments that are basically set and forgotten, until there's a problem. With the influx of people with zero experience in printing, this really dumbs thing down for them, while making an experienced pressman's job infinitely easier.

I don't agree. Printers with zero experience should definitely be involved in the traditional roller adjustment process - otherwise, they won't know the basics. The type of adjustment shown is suitable for experienced operators only. I would like to add that this method covers the inking unit of 102 press just partially: roller 9 to the distributor, roller 10 to roller 9 and roller 11 to roller 12 are adjusted in the traditional way, as well as the ink feed roller to the distributor and ink ductor (the last statement belongs to all presses). If anything, an instructor with 25 years of experience. Good luck!

@baiseduezcke2295 My point is, most of the people coming into the trade are looking for a job, not a career. It's rare to see the younger generation pursue printing as a career, and in many instances, people are forced into positions that they're not prepared for or not trained for or don't want to learn. My recent experiences have proven this to be true. The presses need to stay running, so people are being promoted, with mere weeks of training. The retirement rate is outpacing the new hires.

@baiseduezcke2295 Omg I'm chasing my tail here. Yes. You're right about all of that. Again, very few people pursue printing as a career. It's hard enough to find bodies, let alone anyone with any qualifications or mechanical aptitude. The people we do find either don't want to move up or are literally untrainable. This seems to be at least a regional phenomenon. It's pretty standard practice for a company to train somebody from the ground up. Material handler, Feeder, Second pressman, Pressman. Master each station before being promoted. I've never seen a company not do it like that. It all goes back to, this is why they are simplifying the machines, or at least part of the reason.

Hello! They could share the high-quality image of the evolution of the sides that appears behind the instructor (at the beginning of the video) With my family we have a printing press in Uruguay, and it would be very gratifying to place that image similar to the video. Thank you!

北美海德堡公司培训视频做的非常优秀,可惜中国海德堡公司在印刷机新技能方面操作培训的视频这一块做的非常差North America Heidelberg Company training video is very good, but unfortunately, the video of China Heidelberg operations in printing machine is very poor.
