I turned my pens upside down when I wasn't using them ( after I got the ink into the tip of course ) and they work fine now. Ink comes out nicely. The annoying problem I found was that the nib flattens a little when you have to depress it so many times onto paper / cardstock and then you get fibrous, streaky result from a flatter nib :( I just opened my new pen and depressed it on to my finger and it kept it's shape and gave a lovely smooth result. Thought you might be interested :

Mine's been sitting upside down now for a while. I'll have to grab it out and give it another go!

You're doing better than me, I never even had success with the test pages that came with my Minc and I've just gone back to using a normal laminator. Mine came out with foil scattered everywhere and that was with the setting on 3, then on 2. I kind of got fed up at that point. I know you said that would be caused by it being too hot. Maybe I'll try again. I've had better luck using the Deco Pen and Deco Foil in my laminator though, that's been fairly consistent everytime I've used it. Thanks for the demo, it was illuminating, maybe even 'foiled'....sorry, the devil made me type it 🌷

lol. very funny Hio. Give it a shot with the Minc on a lower setting and it might help. Laminators though because they are only ever one temperature can sometimes be more consistent.

Are you suppose to depress the tip, like you have to do with a Posca pen?

Hi Carol, yes.. that's how you get the ink flowing. I kept mine tip down for almost a week just to ensure the ink was flowing. Thanks for watching and for the question!

Sounds like a bad product. I’m going to start playing with foiling soon. I bought a laser printer, but haven’t set it up yet.
